do you guys think sr202 is really good? Maybe ill stop at a barnes and noble and hope its there... Ive been wanting to pick a CM up anyways...

I'm quite happy with battery and rmiv for sampled drums. Battery 1 is a bit old, but great for low cpu. Battery 2 has caused problems for some people, but a lot are satisfied too. Many love idrum, but it is not vst yet, I think. Microtonic is just fantastic for synthezised drums. I'm not sure the plugins i recommend is the best for "natural drums" like bfd, DFH, etc.But I like to mess things up. For grooves, stylus rmx looks stunning.

Please note, do not get battery 2. It has more bugs than a Floridian summer.......
And the responses from NI are nothing short of neandrathal.........I have the emails saved to prove it.

it's not like exploding with features (actually it only loads mono files) but it gets the job done... you load up the samples and it plays them when you hit the keys. It has choke groups, enveloping, and bit crushing and the interface is clean.

how does it respond when you drag a stereo sample in?

it doesn't like it... ... they should convert it to mono, i might send em an email about it, right now im just using dbmusicconverter to batch convert files to mono.

btw anyone in USA know where i could pick up from like uhh yknow like a mall or something? I called barnes and noble and they didnt have it.

i was going to suggest dr008 till i realized it was mac he wanted...what about DFH ?

No, its from Computer Music Magazine and it defintely does work on Mac.

I use Drums On Demand and they kick some serious ass.

I'll second Drums on Demand or DoD as it's known. But it's not a drum module, just very nicely recorded loops of real drums.

Beta Money also has nice loops - cheaper than DoD, but not organized as nicely as DoD.
