Feels good to have a conversation and transparency with the developer, especially knowing what just happened to Bitwig community. I'm happy for Mulab to be my workstation

What a great news!mutools wrote: Wed Oct 05, 2022 7:11 am Thx everyone for your feedback on this.
The next M9.0.55 update will feature 128 meta-parameters.
That's also the number of parameters that MuLab Plugin will expose to the host.

Agh what a mess. I'm glad I've got Mulab as my backup solution. Mulab isn't quite as sleek or feature rich as Bitwig, but Jo has never tried to trick people into buying something they're not properly informed about.humanboeing wrote: Wed Oct 05, 2022 4:49 pm ...especially knowing what just happened to Bitwig community. +1 for Mutools being a respectful and honest company

But is quite 'elegant' in design (e.g. simple, integrated, powerful).

Of course. Mulab has it's own elegant features which put Bitwig to shame. Time stretching (seriously Mulab spectral stretching is second to none), automation clips, themeing, and front panels just to name a few

Forgive me If I misunderstood you, my eyes are getting old;) It was just the prospect of "hovering over the parameters" while keeping both hands on my midi controller made me amused.sl23 wrote: Wed Oct 05, 2022 4:24 pm Wtf? If ever there was a case of totally misunderstanding what's been stated, that's it!
P.S. I really like MuLab, no matter how many meta meta parameters it has.

I own bitwig but haven't used it lately cause I feel like things I want will never be added... but they add a lot of random things that I'll never use.
I appreciate Jo being on here... very responsive and engaged

I could be wrong about that, but I had an impression that you were trying to prove your point without seeing the bigger picture. Here is the control panel I created some time ago with CTRLR software to control 9 sections of individual instruments. (total number of 150 different controllers) and you're right about that it would be difficult to remember them all, however, there are other tools available to help us with it - in this case I've got 829 sound variations I can use in my arrangement - these are the combinations of that 150 cc messages: To make it clear: my comment was not about MuLab developer (he does a really good job)sl23 wrote: Tue Oct 04, 2022 9:43 am (...) 576 is an insane amount of parameters to assign, you wouldn't even remember them all! What's changed:
MuLab Plugin 9.0.55 is available in https://www.mutools.com/mulab/plugin/latest-binary
What's changed:
- Number of meta-parameters raised to 128.
- Logical Event Selector: When first selecting notes based on length, then selecting a certain MIDI CC, this didn't properly work because the length was unintendedly taken into account. Fixed.
- When deleting an event in the Event List Editor, the next event gets selected so it's easy to select several events after each other.
- When a sampler is empty and there is audio on the clipboard, it now is easy to paste that audio into that empty sampler using the paste key on the sample display or right-click it.
- In exceptional cases it could happen that an envelope point was not properly played. Fixed.
- When inserting a new envelope point using the insert key, the new point now also is selected.
- It could happen that, upon pressing keys while a popup menu was open, a menu item was unintendedly triggered. Fixed.
- Other small improvements.

Thanks for the great updates!
Hey, robert_p, I wasn't trying to prove anything, I was curious for the need of so many meta parameters when all parameters are midi controllable. Meta parameters are mainly for combining or grouping several parameters together. Or am I missing the point?
Looking back on my post, I can see how it could be mistaken the way it was. Apologies for my lack of info. I actually meant that I would like it added as a separate FR. As it makes it easier to tinker around, imo anyway. Sorry for the confusion.

I group them together - each of my MP knobs has additional link to "RefValue" (a dummy CC generator module". Once I move the "RefValue" to the top of MP mapping list, my knobs are displaying values 0-127 instead of 0-100% (and these values are being reported to my DAW for further automation).sl23 wrote: Thu Oct 06, 2022 9:47 am Meta parameters are mainly for combining or grouping several parameters together. btw I think that it could be nice if there will be an option to have 4 rows instead of one long row. (or even better if we could adjust it manually)
