"Future-proof: All Bitwig Studio updates in the following 12 months are FREE."kmonkey wrote: Thu Oct 06, 2022 10:46 am Let's face it. If Jesus, Moses, Krishna, or whatever - if they came down today and gave each and every one of you a gold brick - you would still complain and your music would still suck and stink. Bigtime.
The only thing you know to do is to complain and suck your mom's tit.
Buuuuuuhuhuhuh

My music sucks and I don't need this add-on, but I could buy it if I wanted to. Now that's out of the way, the problem isn't that it exists and can be bought or not, the problem is that the above statement, which is still on their website, no longer holds true. The Bitwig Upgrade plan is no longer future-proof, because some (i.e. not all) updates to Bitwig Studio are no longer free in the following 12 months after activating an upgrade license.
Complaining that an update didn't meet with your expectations, which is rife here and everywhere else on the internet is quite different from, the genuine concern from a company's sudden decision to change its business model. If you would take a minute to stop thinking about KVRers sucking on tits for a moment, you might be able to understand this rather significant distinction.
I demo'd the devices last night, I like them, but since there is no indication about what sort of tiered system I may or may not be locking myself into regarding future updates, I'm going to wait before committing.
