Can Falcon recieve an audio in signal?

Fantastic update! But I do get a repeatable crash doing something that's probably not very bright.
In both the stand-alone and the plugin (AU, VST2, and VST3), add a Slice oscillator, then (and this is the not very bright part) without adding a sample, add a Slice Remixer. Result: instant crash.

If I do add a sample before adding the Slice Remixer, no crash.
And if I do it the other way around (Remixer first, then Slice oscillator), it also works - no crash.

Fixed in next version.
In the meantime, don't do it

Need to find a clever way to add it as where the source of those MIDI should come ?
first part, first layer, after which event processor, ....

This will probably ends up with a custom module like MIDI record which helps clarifying the output location.
The drawback is that it works only in a few host that supports MIDI out while the MIDI record works everywhere.

Inside Falcon, the midi signal goes down to a soundsource, no? That's the final destination for a midi signal. Add an option in the tree, for each sound source to pass through it's midi to the plugins midi output.

If I just want to use Falcon's scripts, I'll just insert a dummy (empty) sampler, check it's tree checkbox to route to midi out and use it like that.

If I want to use midi from multiple generators, I'll do the same checkbox for multiple sources. Of course you could add a midi channel selector, to deal with multiple sources.

in Bitwig and ableton live, this would be mental

i didn't think it through at all, but I think it would not interfere at all with a midi recording function in parallel. just my 2c

What host doesn't support MIDI out? VST MIDI out works in all hosts here that support VSTi's, while AU MIDI out only works if you use the plug in like a MIDI effect in Logic and Unify here. There might be some weird workaround, but in Logic at lease it seems you have to use the plug in for MIDI out exclusively. I'm not a primarily Logic user though, Digital Performer and Live both support MIDI out from VSTi's, you see them as input sources or destinations on tracks.

Oh and fantastic update BTW, just amazing value all these years later, thanks for being that kind of company.

I read somewhere that you can crossfade (or morph) between four instruments (or oscillators) in Falcon. Can someone point me to a tutorial about that? Thanks.

This usually happens if you registered the wrong iLok account at the time.

I'm on board with the custom module, sounds great. The MIDI recorder should do the deed, but in practice, I keep having trouble like it breaks when the sequence is longer.

Could anybody point me to a 2.8 standalone update, please ?
I try to dl 2.8 since 4 days via UVI Portal, but I only get a dl speed of 20 to 70 kb, and after awhile, I get an errormessage....
I sent a ticket to UVI yesterday (sunday, I know...)

Just a word of caution, UVI again f**ked this up... on M1 Mac, everything (Falcon, Ableton 11.2, etc.) up to date, every library checked, still every time I use Falcon it somehow crashes my session.

Such a shame this company is unable to develop a crash-free product, great product, poor software software delivery and quality checks...

How come you prevent your M1 users from using your products? I mean it's a big part of your market and sales I guess, so many users must be so unhappy about it!

I'm tired of reaching out to support again, I just purchased the UVI pass again but I guess this is the last time for sure, since I can't use it properly...

I see no progress has been made versus Ableton 11.6, still the same crap where your product can't be used.
