I'm annoyed 8 years later the whole network collaboration feature is still vaporware.
I really looked forward to a future thinking DAW with easy intercontinental collaboration built in. I've got friends all over the globe who are talented that I would love to work with without it being this obscene process to set up.

Likewise, the network sync allowing you to jam in the same room together.

They had this thread on screen, mocking a post by one of the users here. I don’t frequent this forum often, and hadn’t seen their show before, but I found that to be in extremely poor taste.

It’s good they took that video down. That said, it shouldn’t have been posted in the first place.

Baphometrix is pissed because Bitwig did not offer an NFR license (like they did for polarity, taches, and dahs glitch). Just goes to show how important the DAW really is or isn’t.

Personally I've never seen an affiliate link, or a google ad, or Baph selling anything. It doesn't seem like Baph cares about that stuff but I honestly have no idea because I don't know Baph and I don't watch the channel like a hawk so I won't assume anything.

So I'm asking, what evidence do you have for this claim?

Like I'm going to join a Discord server to find some comment that may or may not exist just to prove or disprove a claim you made. That's not how this works.

oh geez, i can confirm bapho said he got "extra salty" because he never was offered NFRs since content creators with less subscribers count got it. I wouldn't read to much into it..i would suspect it was just the icing on his cake over the disapointment with the direction Bitwig seems to be taking. And if he looked into it, yes he's a bigger content creator than two of them by far, but one is a certified trainer, the other one knows Bitwig. Just a spur of the moment soo to say.

He certainly helped to get me interested in Bitwig, and he doesn't fit as neatly into my perception that all influencers are salespeople etc. I appreciate that it's mostly about the DAW or plug in they're excited by. Basically I wouldn't call him an influencer but more like an educator. Although of course videos about business moves are not really educational but more like opinion pieces.

It just seems like there is a disconnect between Bitwig and the community. Maybee many tolerated the ”premium price” and lack of development of the most wanted features as long as they got everything as some sort of consolation prize.

This is the problem with influencer marketing: You basically become a mascot. The more popular you get, the closer your relationship becomes with the company...to the point where you are more or less unofficially employed by that company.

At first, this is a win-win for both sides. You get cool stuff that you want. They get free marketing. Sweet. But if or when that company does something wildly unpopular, you can't just say "Wow, that's not okay with me". You have to sit and wait for your marching orders...because that's what mascots do.

This is why I strongly discourage anyone from entering into this situation. It's no way to live your life.
