Not really 100% clear in that statement.
They speak of Bitwig Studio and devices.

“ Moving forward, all of our Bitwig Studio feature development, including devices, will be covered by the 12-month Upgrade Plan.“
Yes, but I believe they leave the door open for selling additional sound packs and the like in the future. I'm ok with that.
Or instruments for their sampler.

I think they should open up their API and let third-party developers sell devices in a shop that doesn't require Bitwig updates to install them.

Now we get an mob of entitled uncouth plonkers thinking it was their anger and vitiriol that made Bitwig walk back this obvious misjudgment.

Respectful communication and manners are free, people.
Perhaps we have been reading different threads but the vast majority of the discussion I have seen in this one has been polite but firm. I've not seen much evidence of 'a bunch of cnts' or 'an mob of entitled uncouth plonkers thinking it was their anger and vitiriol'.

There are always exceptions of course but you seem to want to tar the 99% who simply wanted what they paid for with the same brush as the 1% of people who may have gone a bit too far.
It was more than 1%.

People encouraging people to jump daws, saying they think bitwig should lose money, posting the names of people from the company, spreading rumor that bitwig was going broke etc.

Hmm... No bad ideas at all. I would be interested in those things, as long as they are not core functionality that should be in the upgrade plan. I would love to see some stuff from Bitwig been developed as a plugin. Maybe a good way to promote the CLAP format?

Adding my voice to the crowd, THANK YOU Bitwig!!!! <3

It's true. I teased some of the vitriolic behaviour. :hihi:

And I stood up for Bitwig and calmly suggested that I was sure they would make things right.

I also politely emailed them last week to "politely" about this matter. It's good to see they have indeed walked it back and made things right. It was clearly just a misjudgement all along.

I feel fine about all three of the above actions.

Bitwig were hardly polite in what they did so they weren't going to engender a polite response. No-one was acting entitled other than expecting Bitwig to honour their agreement which they now have.
Bizarre how you seem to want to swim in troll waters................................

Yep - You can clearly see that the outrage here and other places is heard all the way to Berlin. Good job from the people here to keep their stand (despite some forum members here trying to ridicule them).

That said - I do not like that some content creators where caught in the crossfire (although they where partly to blame for that themselves by making fools of people that protested). People there crossed the border just too far. I hope things will normalize, although I think those scars will be seen for (long) while.

They just made a mistake man. It could have been discussed politely.... but no, some people had to take it too far.

I'm happy to fire back at awful behavior with a bit of teasing. You perhaps make a false equivalence?

I hope it wasn’t financial hurdles they’re facing. And if it was, I hope we could help you in some way. And if it wasn’t, well, it’s only human to sometimes overreach. It’s our response to it that matters.

Respect and good wishes towards Bitwig team.

Please don’t lay off anyone, unless she’s a spiteful or manipulative cnt.

What about the poor Bitwig team on the end of this nonsense?

They're not fair target just because people can't regulate their behaviour.

Probably not an easy thing to do with the baying hoards at the door with pitchforks looking to burn the place down.

Magically, all is well in the world again today. Sunshine and unicorns now the loons have gone the full emotional arc.
I've seen more vitriol and hyperbole coming from you than anyone else...

You can see what happens when people passionately defend what is right and fair.

Yes. Fair warning. For their tone some BW community individuals should even apologize to BW.

Sigh - If people said nothing and kept silent would we have this solution?

The only nonsense is the way you tried to silence everybody down. If we have listened to you we would not have this solution - at all! And now you try to tell us that your approach was the ultimate solution, while it's painfully obvious that you "solution" would not had archive anything at all?

You have lost my respect pal.

But I have enough of this. I'm out of here...
