Zebra 3 and Zebra Legacy

There's something I don't get in the email though... if I have nothing today the third case says "Buy Zebra2 now, get Legacy for free and then upgrade to Zebra3 when it's out for 30€).

That means 199 + 30 = Zebra2 + Legacy + Zebra3.
While waiting for Legacy it means 99€ + 30€ for the same combination... so why would one get Zebra2 now?

EDIT: got it - getting Legacy directly won't allow any upgrade path to Zebra 3.

As I understand it, if you buy Zebra Legacy after November 15th, you do not have the cheap upgrade path available, i.e. pay full price for Zebra 3.

Hi all,

We've just updated our website with the definitive information regarding Zebra Legacy.

First off, Zebra3 is not nearly finished yet. While we had hoped to coincide Zebra Legacy with *something* Zebra3-ish, e.g. Zebralette3, we have decided to move forward anyway. So we corrected the previous statements that unfortunately suggested that the switch to Zebra Legacy will happen at the same time as Zebra3 release.

Just to clarify my understanding and simplify this, if one only wants Zebra Legacy, they can wait for November 15th and get it for 99€. No upgrade path to Zebra 3. Live happily with Zebra Legacy.

If one wants to own Zebra 3 in future, buy Zebra 2 now for 199€ and get all the soundsets for free when Zebra Legacy is released on November 15th. When Zebra 3 is released, the upgrade price will be 30€.

Current Zebra2 owners will get with Legacy the soundsets, including Dark Zebra, for free. It's the same old plugin we all love and enjoy... (Dark Zebra is a bit more than that having additional modules...)

Most obviously, instead of 10+ zip files, everything will be in one zip for each platform: Zebra2 Installer, TDZ Installer, u-he soundset installers.

Okay, so it's just the soundsets for Zebra 2 owners as part of the Legacy package. So, the only difference comes down to Zebra 3 upgrade path available or not. Zebra 2 owners will get it, Zebra Legacy owners won't.

Please give us some time... we'll be working till last minute to add XYs and tag presets. We won't have them all finished completely by the 15th, but I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

We're even adding a curated library of updated presets from the pre-HS factory library which have been polished and improved by our content team.
