Side by side, I'd choose Oddity 3 ,it just has that something special to it, that the Korg doesn't. ymmvLoveEnigma18 wrote: Wed Nov 02, 2022 4:59 pm Sounds phenomenal and very tempting for the sale price. It has all the vibes I am looking for, similar to Softube Model 84 and Model 72.
By the way, I don't have the Korg Arp Odyssey. Does anyone think Oddity 3 is better or on par in terms of sound and/or features? I could demo both, but I would rather take a word of advice from those who have used both. Thanks!
Thanks a lot guys. That's great to know and I think I am ready to buy Oddity 3 once I finish demoing it in my setup just to make sure everything is fine. Odyssey is one of those synths that sounds great for a lot of different sounds with different character, and GForce has rightly put it as "From Pretty To Gritty". Don't want to have multiple plugins of same type, especially for this one, so I will have to skip the Korg one in this case even though I believe Korg one will be on sale for ~$50 soon.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Nov 02, 2022 10:41 pmI prefer the Korg for certain things like what the original was good for -Leads and mono sounds. The filter Type I on the korg is my favorite across both versions, nice and dirty. However Oddity has it's own nice sound and great versatility to make sounds you wouldn't think would come from an odyssey, like airy spacey pads, or heavily modulated sounds.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Wed Nov 02, 2022 4:59 pm Sounds phenomenal and very tempting for the sale price.
