There isn't an improved sound engine, just some additional stuff like the vintage knob and new effects.
One of the Gforce reps confirmed on GS that the audio engine has been improved over v2. It was also mentioned in the marketing emails that they sent out.

oh, thanks for pointing that out. But in real world use I can't say I've noticed a difference. Must be minor.

I agree 100% with whoever complained about the tiny number of Alpha patches in the demo. I'm sorry, that's an asinine restriction. You've got 6 hours in total to demo the synth. A good way to spend a few of those hours would be browsing the presets. Also, not everyone is a "sound designer". LOTS of people will buy a synth based on the quality of the presets and there's nothing wrong with that. Lots of folks are just musicians and not gear-heads who want to tinker and program. That's completely valid. Just because that's not how you work, and because you know how to program a synth, doesn't mean everyone is the same. The people I know in my own life who write the best music are the least technical. They're not synth programmers. Musicians are a spectrum there. Some folks are gear-heads, synth programmers, etc., others just want to play and work quickly.

It's cool if you're not using the presets and can program every synth under the sun, but to attack someone for suggesting that's a dumb restriction is just snobbery. Yeah, there was an implication that there was some conspiracy as to why they did it, and that's a silly point to make, I'm sure it was nothing nefarious, but the overall idea that a synth with 6 hours of demo should also only have like 20 demo patches is a bit dumb too IMO.

GForce would be wise to ditch the Alpha patch restriction in future products.

More presets are great, love ‘em.

Limiting the number of preset is a way to limit the interest in the cracked version (made from the demo)

Again, as a fan of proper mousewheel behavior, I've got a bunch of suggestions for Oddity 3 UI, since it actually supports the mousewheel.

- I can see that the reverb preset can be cycled by MW, but it is incremented by 1.14062, not by 1. Apparently, I can't have more than five presets there, labeled from "1" to "5" :)
- Filter type switch behaves like many dropdown menus in many synths, and goes up for scrolling down and vice versa :(
- Most importantely, the coarse OSC frequency gets incremented by +-2.53 semitones when I scroll it with MW. Please, pretty please, make it one semitone, that would be so much more convenient (and I believe, doable). Also, the proposed behavior would fix the first problem :)
Thanks GeForce!

P.S. preset scrolling would also be cool!
Weapons of choice (subject to change):
Godin Redline, Kuassa, Fuse Audio, Audiority, Roland A-500pro, Dune, Dagger, TAL, Reaper for Rock & Synthwave pleasures; Viper and FL Studio for guilty EDM pleasures

Same - I could demo all the Oddity 3 patches too

Interesting. What OS? Did you already own Oddity 2? Here on Windows, as a non-Oddity 2 owner, I was getting the same "you can only demo Alpha patches" message.

Windows 10 - Bitwig and owned and had Oddity 2 installed

I could select the presets via the internal to Oddity 3 browser

Whatever it is, I'm really looking forward to it, I really like their synths.

impOscar 3. Please.
Mac, Logic, some synths, software, stuff and unstuff, with and without knobs

For me it was also possible to listen to all presets of Oddity 3. In general, I find the quality of the presets (despite the large number) impressive. I'm really excited about the synth. Have also just tested the Polymax, but Oddity I personally like much better. Especially for the discount price this is a steal.

The only criticism is the somewhat blurry font.

And I agree, Imposcar 3 would be great!

I'm in - updated to Oddity 3.
And yes, I also would like to see what an impOSCar 3 would be like.

I've got a lot of the bigger name synths, but I like the sound of GForce stuff best.
Their methods and configurations are a bit quirky,
and I don't always get along so good with their GUI's,
but for sound -

Maybe they gave Oddity 2 owners access to all the presets since many came from there anyway.
