I just had it playing a looped pattern for 10-15 minutes, Base for Synth patch, and the timbre didn't change at all.

Did you start the test right after opening switching to that preset though?BONES wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 6:34 am I just had it playing a looped pattern for 10-15 minutes, Base for Synth patch, and the timbre didn't change at all.

Yeah, actually I was going to say also that it sounds like the osc phase is resetting at first, thus the stronger attack. Then after a while like you said, it sounds like that changes. I'm not sure if that accounts for the whole difference in sound and volume level, but it might.Vortifex wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 9:42 amDo you think the issue I described is the same as the one you're having?Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 7:11 amDid you start the test right after opening switching to that preset though?BONES wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 6:34 am I just had it playing a looped pattern for 10-15 minutes, Base for Synth patch, and the timbre didn't change at all.

I added the synth, created the pattern, set the loop, loaded the patch and pressed play. It soudned the same from the first note.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 7:11 amDid you start the test right after opening switching to that preset though?BONES wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 6:34 am I just had it playing a looped pattern for 10-15 minutes, Base for Synth patch, and the timbre didn't change at all.

Hmmm, try saving the patch in your daw as a daw preset. Then load that and just play some notes for a while (under 30 seconds) and see if it changes then. It's definitely happening to at least a couple of us, not sure if there's a common factor yet.BONES wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 10:56 pmI added the synth, created the pattern, set the loop, loaded the patch and pressed play. OK, I fiddled with it a bit more and I eventually got it to misbehave. It was only a bit different, like the effects were late to kick in or something, but it was definitely different for the first few notes.

any word of a VST3 beta for mac?
it sounds great, i've just been burnt so many times investing in what might be instead of what is.
but the page says VST3 for mac is on the way, so eagerly awaiting the next big update
cheers

He mentioned OBXtreme 3 was in the works in an email, but no mention of when 2 would go native M1, get VST3 etc. It’s one guy probably with a day job and it’s super cheap, so I’m pretty unconcerned about him taking his time.

In my case it was a week minimum, maybe even up to 10 days. It was dirt cheap, I didn't bother emailing, it just arrived eventually and that was it.D-Fusion wrote: Thu May 18, 2023 4:41 pm Bought it a few hours ago.How long does it usually take before you receive the product after payment?
Uh-ho, last time he told V2 was in the works, it took a good few years before it actually rolled out. So yeah, I don't hold my breath either. Probably 2030. Considering it took him 8 years to go V1 > V2, that date actually looks realistic. He mentioned OBXtreme 3 was in the works in an email, but no mention of when 2 would go native M1, get VST3 etc. It’s one guy probably with a day job and it’s super cheap, so I’m pretty unconcerned about him taking his time.
