I was assuming that the included soundsets would just be the "in-house" ones by Howard, such as Dark Zebra, Zebra Science and Zebratron. I guess I was under the impression that the ones by other designers were just being hosted on the site and weren't the ones to be included. So much to explore!

This is great. Now there will be no split between users for ZebraHZ presets since every owner has it now, so people are free to pick whichever version they want

My purchase receipt email from u-he for Zebra Legacy is stamped 6:39 AM (Eastern Standard Time). I kept hitting that refresh button every minute or two until the site was up. Wonder if I got the first copy?

Can I just install all the presets of Zebra 2 to ZebraHZ and use that as the main Zebra since I much prefer the look of the GUI?

Edit: Already realized that HZ has a shortcut to Zebra 2 presets.

Installation was a piece of cake. I'm just amazed of the depth and mastery of sound design that is featured with the legacy soundsets. The soundsets alone are worth 99 Euros so it's such an amazing deal that some of the best sound software ever made are included.

I'm looking forward to Zebra 3! Reverse engineering Howard Scarr's presets (just one of the many talented sound designers) will keep me busy until then.

Unfortunately no. But check out Wombat Flat (free!) compatible with HZ. Best skin if you ask me is Neumann & Neumann Pro, amazing workflow. You need an entire 1080p monitor for Pro however, be aware. Or you can have some space to spare with a 1440p monitor and that works fine. Not a free skin but it's totally worth it.

Is there any point in installing the soundsets again if I already own them? Have there been any changes to the soundsets just for the Zebra Legacy release, for example, new XY assignments, tagging, or something like that?

Wowwww, the entire catalog of Zebra presets! What a great gift to find in my email! And as someone said above, an elegant and generous solution to the transition. Very pleased to hear that Zebra 2 will be maintained for a long time to come because I'm nowhere near done with it.

Yess, exactly this, XY assignments, tagging, volume balancing, preset sorting, creation of NKS versions and NKS previews, ....

The whole process of polishing the presets is still ongoing, as this is an enormous task. So not all presets already underwent the polishing process. We'll publish an update in a few months once that's done for all the presets.

The soundsets are installed into a Legacy folder, so installing them won't overwrite your existing versions.
