that was my example, i don't work for uhe although i have tested hardware, and im not privy to the zebra3 beta (or even alpha at this stage maybe?) so don't take that as a factual example.

was just trying to think of something where the concepts are similar but different enough that it matters.
i have absolutely no more clues than anyone else reading the posts

Zebra 3 is a super improvement of zebra2.. so its kinda related but improved.. so zebra 3 should have a coded name aka "Black Stallion" pure bred from uhe Stable

I AM ZEBRA is a head-scratcher for sure…. the first one I'll be looking up in the Zebra Cookbook

It's not sample, it's a crazy use of automated formants, I can't imagine the time to set it up.

It could totally have a codename/separate name. Kind of like an OS version I guess...

For instance, "macOS 10.15" is to "Catalina" as "Zebra3" is to "Okapi"

And then soon people will start dropping the numbers...
"I'm on Zebra Legacy."
"Oh yeah? I'm on Zebra Okapi, but I still have an old computer running a version of Zebra Dinosaur."

as owner of a Zebra2 license you get Zebra Legacy anyway *and* you'll get the upgrade path)

But....

Everyone who has a license for Zebra2 will automatically have their license crossgraded to Zebra Legacy. Zebra Legacy will contain all our existing soundsets (including The Dark Zebra) for a very attractive price

I think what they means is that if you already have Z2, then your Z2 serial will work fine with ZL. If you have Z2 and TDZ registered before the Nov 15 date, then you get Z3 for free, and if you have Z2 registered before the Nov 15 date, you can get Z3 for €29 when it comes out. By 'crossgrading to Zebra Legacy' they don't mean you are losing your upgrade-to-Z3 rights. Only that, so far as owning Z2 stuff is concerned, you now have Z2+TDZ+soundsets.

Someone official can correct me if my understanding is wrong.
