Very simple. Zebra 2 license has upgrade path. Zebra Legacy license hasn't.

You are not selling a Zebra Legacy license, you sell a Zebra 2 license.

Ah yes, that's simple indeed. I assumed that any Zebra 2 license became permanently Legacy with the free November update and would therefore have the same value as the current Legacy bundle in the u-he store.

Thanks for the clarification.

Darn you Urs for putting all those soundsets in Zebra Legacy! Now I'll never get anything done! :)

I’ll never complain about better filter algorithms!!

Will Z3 have more noise options (+ user's noises) in the noise module? been playing with Massive X and i noticed a lot of the character comes from the weird noises (and also the cool built in effects). Or even a simple sampler module.

The Zebra2.vst3 plugin does contain Intel and ARM versions. Why do you think it doesn't?
And no, ZebraHZ.vst3 does not contain Zebrify, it's only included in Zebra2.vst3.

Ah ok. Because renoise loads the vst3 zebrify (showing the zebra2.vst3 path) as bridged Intel64… maybe a renoise problem. Also reinstalled the plugin.

Maybe try rescanning plugins in Renoise. It could be a caching issue of their plugin database.
Renoise loads the native Silicon ARM version of Zebrify over here.
You can identify the version in the plugin's GUI, directly beneath the Zebrify logo, it should display "Mac ARM64".

Yes thanks, I will edit the plugin database of Renoise, its a sqlite one. Sorry for the confusion.

I have a question:

I want to create a wave sequence using the oscillator editor. I have the first 'cell' set up and I want to copy that cell and paste it into the next to make a slight adjustment. How do I do that? If I try that it doesn't paste anything. The copy/paste options are there, but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

The copy and paste waveset function copies the whole waveset, so you can paste it in another oscillator.

To duplicate a cell into another cell, select the cell you want to duplicate, then right-click on the target cell and select "duplicate" from the menu.

The user guide is your friend.

Just curious - how would it Zebra Legacy be treated once Zebra 3 comes out?

If you have a Zebra 2 licence, you got Zebra Legacy for free and have a 30€ upgrade to Zebra 3.

I wonder if something similar would exist if you are new to Zebra 3 and want to also get Zebra Legacy?
Or something even nicer: If it would be possible to import Zebra 2 patches, but without the guarantee that they sound / work the same. Not sure if that is remotely realistic, probably depends a lot on how much Zebra 3 is different from 2.

Zebra 2 patches won’t be compatible with Z3, Urs has said.

Post

Yes, but it could have been fun to be able to import them anyway, as some kind of random starting point, given they won't fully load, but certainly place modules here and there, mseg and whatsoever. Ready to tweak.
