really happy they added msegs, drawable wavetables and waveshapers. I don't care about the other things too much, but maybe modulating the mixer could be useful. That seems like a pretty big overhaul which is what makes it worthy of a version 5 update, but I could live without that as automation is fine.
There are other things I want but we can't have everything in one update. Lots of people asked for msegs and wavetables, I've seen as many people ask for msegs as any other request. We'll have to wait for our other requests to be fulfilled. It is odd that it skipped from 4.4 to 5.0 with no real updates in between though for about 6 months, and I hope we don't have to wait that long for the next one.

Will heed your advice, although your case was, indeed, serendipitous! Enjoy!! (PS: Can you modulate tempo?)
Yes, you can modulate tempo now. You can create a Project Remote, map it to tempo, and you can add a project modulator to modulate the remote or tempo directly.

So this update is like bitwig with included LFOTool?

Modulating tempo is cool, but I'd guess it causes pitch fluctuations. Can we modulate timestretch on samples dropped in the timeline?billcarroll wrote: Tue Apr 11, 2023 7:53 pm Yes, you can modulate tempo now. It's hard to please everyone, everyone wants something different, Bitwig is not a "classic" DAW. Tbh I didn't like it at first after switching from Live, then when I started using modulation more and saw how powerful it was, it literally blew my mind. It is unique. The Bitwig team cannot do miracles. It takes time for developers to create new features (especially for such a small team).
So stop bitching
, enjoy experimenting, making music and hope they’ll add other requested features in the near future.

That's very cool. I actually bought LFOTool pretty recently just because this was missing in Bitwig. Although I'm at version 4.2 still. I will probably wait with updating anyways ...billcarroll wrote: Tue Apr 11, 2023 7:58 pmLike ShaperBox, LFOTool, and your wildest Global modulation dreams all wrapped up together.

Modulating or changing tempo during playback is smooth.j wazza wrote: Tue Apr 11, 2023 8:01 pmModulating tempo is cool, but I'd guess it causes pitch fluctuations. No, you cannot modulate aspects of the audio event like tempo, stretch modes, etc. with a project modulator.

Am I the only one who is dissapointed that curve points can't be modulated?
Come on, the standart envelopes can be modulated, but not MSEG?
Besides that, I'm happy. The modulation system is now complete, the browser got even better, project/track level modualators/remotes make Bitwig a perfect DAW for live.

project level modualators/remotes is the surprise hit for me…something I didn’t know I needed until I had it!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

But when i first read about it today i was just whooooot?
And of course... BWS did it again! they put me in a total other creative direction with this one.
Though i didnt try it yet, but the possibilities are crazy when im thinking about it.

yeah this would be great, and the same for modulating curves on the wavetable osc like avenger, or the curves on the waveshapercatzilla wrote: Tue Apr 11, 2023 8:25 pm Am I the only one who is dissapointed that curve points can't be modulated?
