It's not the KVR way. Complain first, figure it out later and obviously don't return to admit that you were a reactive arsehat

So far this is a 19 page long thread explaining why I hate humans and love Bitwig.

Global modulation + MSEGs seem like a huuuuuge plus for me. Being able to fold so many small actions across tracks into a single modulator without having to exhaustively copy/paste and scale everything onto multiple automation lanes is going to be great. I have always disliked how fiddly and unintuitive BW's automation seems to be, especially for shapes, snapping, and small detail-work, and this will let me skirt around that and save so much time, I think. (I also just need to just get a midi controller with knobs already. That will help reduce mouse usage further.)

I am a huge BW fan and use this DAW for everything, so I'm a little sad that I'm excited for this release only because MSEGs and global mod lets me avoid another aspect of this DAW that I hate, lol. :/ Oh well. It's just a piece of software so whatever. I like being given alternate ways to do stuff, so I am 90% a happy camper. :phones:

Edit: wavetable and curve LFO is A+++! Love those ideas.

And morphing!

I think we might be the only two people who are interested in this. I don't think they are ready for it, but their kids will love it!

In the meanwhile, we still have the Freestyle workaround, right?

Plus the new Curve drawing tools are a step towards implementing the same tools for Automation!!

Are saved curves actually available for automation too??

Do you mean for drawing automation on the arrange timeline or in clips? If so, no they are not.

So you are saying you initially replied to me to argue about something that you feel 100% doesn't matter??? There is a saying about eating your own dog food.
machinesworking wrote: Fri Apr 14, 2023 3:55 am You saying I'm assuming you're assuming, is a circle of redundancy.
That doesn't make it not true.

Anyway, there are several good things about this release. I think it's particularly great that Bitwig added a usability improvement (browser revision), and made some significant enhancements with the clip launcher for those who like to jam with Bitwig and/or perform live. Now that MSEG has been added with some nice modulation bonuses, perhaps Bitwig can focus on Midi capture and comping, improving the sampler, and piano roll improvements.
