I wouldn't assume Reaktor is dead based on anything said in this thread. Right now, Reaktor is the only DAW-agnostic tool like this and they just put a huge effort into finally updating the code. Hopefully they did that "the right way" and that's a sign that Reaktor has a long future at NI. Even if they're not prototyping new synth plugins based on it.
