Cosmos looks nice… but I’m staying away until I know if I’m adding DFAM and Subharmonicon.
One of the reasons that I purchased Hector was because of Loopop's attempt at duplicating part of it. I wanted to experiment in the same way. I like what Cosmos does, but, they are very similar to Make Noise in that they like to use vague bullshit to define how their instruments work. I like the non-rhythmic looping, but I don't need to spend a lot of money on just that.
Loopop duplicating Cosmos in Hector? Is it in the Beebo vs Hector video?

i do need to spend a lot of money.
seriously, there's a weird rule here for benefits recipients, we can only save a maximum of 5.5 k, or our benefits stop.
but then you pay one month's bills, are below the margin and have to go through the long and painful process of reapplying.
it's just easier if i buy expensive shit i like

plus, i watched a video, liked what i hear, didn't notice any vague bullshit that got in the way for me (but then i don't know the things you know, so it's all magick to me anyway)

I'm probably being a bit too critical, but they don't include enough detail about the algorithms. The Looppop video on Hector describes his interpretation. Moreover, I didn't like all of the the things that it did, just the dual delay looping with relatively prime delay times.

I'm not a fan of magick based instrument description though, and I'm particularly judgy about it.

yes, I bought Hector after watching that video after watching his review of Cosmos. I still may get Cosmos at some point, but probably not. I'm more likely to just build my own variant in Max and stuff it in a Daisy init.

The Superbooth floodgates are starting to open. Knobula’s released another interesting module.

Cool, but I'm not feeling that it's $440 cool. I feel that digital modules in Eurorack are where plugins were twenty years ago in some sense. We're amazed that we can do it a all, so we'll pay high prices for it.

I do feel that for all the Knobula modules. Similarly the chord pilot module is interesting, but not for £300 or more.

Have had a DFAM on my ‘to buy’ list for quite a while, and saw that Juno had the DFAM and Mother32 kit for just over 1k! Also picked up a Klemt Echolette this month 🙂
