Yeah it was the power supply. Thanks!moss wrote: Sun Jun 11, 2023 8:28 amConnect the Push 2 to power.Alban18 wrote: Fri Jun 09, 2023 5:36 am So now I replace the new DrivenByMoss.bwextension with my old DrivenByMoss.bwextension file and now it acts like before. Bitwig automatically detects my Push and the controls work well. It's just the lighting that I'm trying to fix. So I'm guessing the 4.3+ script doesn't detect or work at all.
By the way I'm using Bitwig 4.4.9 to test everything.

hi sir on the akai fire is there a way to add a 4x4 drum square colored pads set for use with any drum machine plugin? I know the pads only light up when using with the Bitwig Drum Machine (the loaded samples load up in a 4x4 grid).

Hi Moss,
Edit (I deleted the content of the post as it was before, because of new Bitwig info as follows below):
Meanwhile I contacted Bitwig and learned from there that Akai MPD32 is not a supported device in Bitwig Studio. OK so far. On the other hand the MPD32 is in its basic functionality compatible to MPC 40 and in version 4 of Bitwig studio it works pretty well when operated as MPC 40 using your script. In Bitwig Studio 5 Beta 11 the MPC 40 script does not initialize data communication with MPD 32 any longer, however. Why? Is this a bug or a new feature? If the latter is true, this will force me to go back to Cubase where this device still works fully. Consequently, if there is no better news available, I will no longer renew my Bitwig annual subscription, freeze the usable Studio version and invest in Cubase instead. The reason why I have to stick to the MPD32 is the input for an expression pedal there, which is not available in more modern devices (I tried to find one before purchasing the MPD32 second hand).
- By the way, Generic Flexi can operate the old MPD32 as well when data communication was initialized somehow before starting the generic script.
Best regards.

When I exclusively use my Push 2 to add tracks, then try to delete that track after, it doesn't work. But if I use my mouse to highlight, then press delete on the Push, it deletes it.
Yes, when I use my push exclusively to highlight the tracks, it highlights, but it doesn't delete when I press delete only using the push without a mouse.
Why does this happen? There are a few more bugs that I found but want to know what you think if I'm doing something wrong.

Apart from the more fancy display, are there any advantages, or things the push 2 can do what the push 1 cant in Bitwig ?

You can use the Drum 64 mode. Make sure that "Turn off empty drum pads" in is disabled in the settings.melodyz wrote: Sat Jun 17, 2023 10:32 am hi sir on the akai fire is there a way to add a 4x4 drum square colored pads set for use with any drum machine plugin? I am afraid you have an USB issue somewhere. Try different cables, different hub (if any) or a different port.BitwigStarter599 wrote: Sat Jun 17, 2023 1:02 pm Hi Moss,
using your extension for years to connect my PSR 6700 to Bitwig Studio, happened to work all the time perfect. Thanks. To extend my setup I found an akai mpd32 usb for a low budget and tried to connect this one by Flexi Script (Bitwig 5 Beta 11 and Script 20.2.1) to Bitwig Studio. First hand no midi was transferred. Then I tried the MPC 40 Script and all of a sudden there was response to fader movements. As I cannot change the MPC 40 configuration for my purpose I switched back to Flexi Controller. And aha, there it was sending midi data. Then I started configuration and all went perfect until ... an usb stick was connected to the computer. This ended the midi connection until ... yes you guess it right, the mpc 40 controller was startet again.
Is there an other choice to keep the connection stable?
Somewhere in the thread (jan 14th of 21) I found a hint that there might be a dedicated Bitwig driver for MPD, but I could not find one.
Edit: The MPC 40 Script starts the Pad Controller only when in Bitwig Studio 4.4.8. After that first start the Flexi Script works in Bitwig Studio 5, too. That remains stable, even when restarting Bitwig Studio 5 several times, until USB reconfiguration.

Could you give some exact steps to make this happen? I cannot reproduce that.Alban18 wrote: Sat Jun 17, 2023 2:56 pm When I exclusively use my Push 2 to add tracks, then try to delete that track after, it doesn't work. You need to press the NOTE button several times to toggle between the different play modes.Elkiwixmandalaz wrote: Sun Jun 18, 2023 4:18 pm Hey Moßß! I hope Youre doing fine. Is there a way to start/stop individual clips with the LaunchControl ?
