MuLab App 9.2.0 alpha for Windows 64 bit is available in https://www.mutools.com/mulab/app/lates ... /beta.html
What's changed:
It's meant as a preview/test version if you want to help consolidating CLAP plugin support.
Due to the intense works on the plugin system, also the VST2 plugin code has been modified.
Please report anything you notice as wrong.
Thx!
What's changed:
- Support for CLAP plugins. This is a first basic support level for CLAP plugins, equivalent to VST2, yet future-proof thanks to the open license. Thx to the CLAP dev team

- Improved VST2 support.
- Front panel mixer strips now are also resizable horizontally. (bug fix)
- While editing sequences, playing notes are not cut off anymore if not necessary.
- Compressor: "Use RMS Window" can now be put on a front panel using the "Property On/Off Button" utility component.
- Removed some redundant tooltips.
- Other small improvements.

These are just awesome beyond words. Thank you.mutools wrote: Sat Jul 01, 2023 12:27 pm [*]Support for CLAP plugins. This is a first basic support level for CLAP plugins, equivalent to VST2, yet future-proof thanks to the open license. Thx to the CLAP dev team

I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?

Nice to have CLAP
, but carreful some crash mulab.
Surge XT no sound (Working with Reaper)
Crash with most FX clap (Working with Reaper)
Only Delay from Full bucket working the other crash
Less problem with synths
Full Bucket synths ok
Apricot , Fructus ok
Vital ok

I truly don’t know how Jo does it!
Maybe he’s like Tom Ford: he sleeps only 3 hours a day.

Awesome! Exciting stuff!
I ran a few quick tests with CLAP plugins I have installed:-
Nakst: Apricot and Regency - both load and play fine
Full Bucket - Bucket ONE - loads and plays fine
Full Bucket - Whispair - Initially played no sound, but after restarting mulab it seems fine - cannot repeat original problem.
The Wavewarden: Odin2 (v2.3.4) - causes mulab to crash on loading (disappears)
SurgeXT (v1.1.2): Loads but plays no sound. Track acts like an audio track i.e. doubleclick offers to create stream or audio seq rather than midi part.
Matt Tytel - Vital v1.5.3 - Loads and plays fine
FX - AudioThing - Things Bubbles loads and plays
Attached a couple of error logs, hope it helps

Wow! That was quick! CLAP must be a lot easier to develop than VST3 seeing how quick this happened! Excellent job will test my uhe stuff with it when I get time. Thanks Jo

Thx for all appreciations!
A part of the job was already done last year, that certain helped in effectively implementing support for CLAP plugins now.
I also thought it was necessary to take away any possible doubt that was caused by the "What about making MuLab plugin independent" topic. It was a good discussion and conclusion was loud and clear: MuLab needs plugins. And as VST2 is virtually dying (I mean: Steinberg killed its future. But MuLab will continue to support VST2 as long as necessary), it was essential for MuLab to make a loud and clear expression about support for plugins. So welcome CLAP! Long live CLAP!
Ok, M9.2 still is in alpha test stage and it clearly still needs more work.
Lets get this rock solid.

MuLab App 9.2.1 alpha for Windows 64 bit is available in https://www.mutools.com/mulab/app/lates ... /beta.html
This fixes a bug that caused some CLAP plugins (eg Surge XT) not to make sound as expected.

Tried loading paulxstretch Clap plugin - this causes mulab crash (disappears) just like with Odin2.
Attached crash log files, one showing details of rescanning paulxstretch.
