The second file is an error log from a crash on exit. Mac OS 11.7.8 Intel, Mulab 9.2.9. I had the plugin window still open. (FullBucket.de Fury800 CLAP). It doesn't seem to happen if the GUI for it is closed. I can forward this one on if it's not you, but them.
I had the same crash on Windows with Fury800. I'm not sure who is responsible for that crash, host or plug, but the next update has extra protection to avoid that crash, basically by first automatically closing the plugin editors on a safe moment, and only then quitting.
Mulab closes fine when the Diva GUI is open, so it's probably FullBucket. I think he uses JUCE, so it may be a framework issue.

And as for plug-ins that don't have a browser, this is one. Otherwise, you change patches the old-fashioned way and click buttons and change the LED display.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

Thx for reporting this one!
Will be fixed in the next MuLab update.

MuLab Plugin 9.2.9 is available in https://www.mutools.com/mulab/plugin/la ... /beta.html

What's new:
  • Dropping a parameter on an empty sub-track header now also auto creates an empty automation clip for that parameter. (alike dropping a parameter on the [+] track button)
Does it take into account the current position of the parameter when it creates an automation clip? Like if it's at 62% or something?

It currently creates an empty automation clip.
But in the automation envelope editor you can drag-drop parameters to create new points with that dropped parameter value.

MuLab App 9.2.11 is available in https://www.mutools.com/mulab/app/lates ... /beta.html

MuLab Plugin 9.2.11 is available in https://www.mutools.com/mulab/plugin/la ... /beta.html

What's changed:
  • Fixed a nasty bug in the Modular Feedback Delay that could cause audio static or even a crash.
Typically this occurred upon plugin in MuLab Plugin Synth in a host DAW using a 48 kHz samplerate or higher, or upon increasing the samplerate in MuLab App or the host DAW.
  • Using a shortcut key to quit MuLab or closing/replacing a project while there are open plugin editors could potentially cause a crash. Fixed.
  • CLAP: Fixed a crash bug for plugins that output events but don't have an event output.
  • CLAP: Switching the green power led off/on now also sends All Sounds Off + All Notes Off on all input ports + all channels to the CLAP plugin. (because several of them don't stop notes upon clap.plugin.reset)
  • CLAP: Improved support for key names.
  • As MuLab now supports VST2 and CLAP plugins, several text references to "VST" have been replaced by the more generic "plugin".
  • The menu option "Send To Nothing" has been renamed to "Send To ...".
  • Other improvements and polishments.

Diva now plays perfectly as CLAP! Thanks!

Doing your best to kill off VST finally? :hihi:

CLAP indeed has a preset browser extension but eg. Fury800 (and so i suppose all FBM Clap plugins) doesn't support that. Nor does TAL Noisemaker. I'll keep an eye on it.

I can just keep using the VST2 that one. Hopefully, the all new VST3-only plugins that also come as CLAP will have their own patch browsers. I can't think of any that don't.

Hi Jo, there's a really weird bug in M8 where if I disable and re-enable a synth on a track, sometimes the MIDI goes weird and I can only explain it as it puts fermatas on some of the notes near where I cut the synth. I have to restart Mulab to get back to normal.

I don't think I've ever seen any mention off this, and I haven't seen it in 9 yet, but just in case...

(I still use M8 for testing since the CPU meter is nicer for my purposes, i case you were wondering.)

M8's development lifecycle has ended. M9 is the one actively being developed.

Oh, I know, I was just mentioning it in case it was something you had already specifically addressed, or it was something that others had seen, or in case it pops up in M9 for me. And if I do see it in M9, you'll be the first to know!

Apparently, M9 is doing it as well. To reproduce, create a 1 bar loop with 8 sixteenth notes at eighth note intervals. Insert any VST and press play. At some point, disable the VST in the rack--the VST, not the whole track--and then re-enable it. Some off the cutoffs no longer function properly.

I assume you mean that when toggling the power button of VST plugins then with some VSTs there could be hanging notes?
In the next M9.2.12 update toggling the power button of a VST will send All Sounds Off + All Notes Off messages to that VST2 plugin so to cut all (hanging) notes.

They don't hang, a few just get extended in length. It's very strange.
