Does anyone know if the XV-5080 Roland cloud instrument goes on sale at Black Friday?

The XV (and JV) may not sound exactly like the original. The JD 800 definitely does not.

That I'm not surprised by. Those older designs I imagine are quirky to some extent, I expect they think no one cares about authenticity when it comes to their digital synths.

But I'm wondering what the betting line is on whether and when they'll extend this one.

The only source for the update is from JRR.

Nothing about it anywhere else.

Not saying it's made up or anything just probably announced a little ahead of time.

I'd say we'll see it announced on the 1st of August maybe even tomorrow.
