I had no plan to get Dune 3 but then the price seems right, so why not?
Is it multi-touch capable? If yes I will get it.

Gear4Music is about as close as the UK gets to Sweetwater as far as I can tell.

I lived in York for ages and went to the Gear4Music sales warehouse once. It’s a pretty big warehouse and I enjoyed not being hassled at all by sales staff while I tried out a bunch of guitars waiting for the MIDI controller I’d ordered online to be fetched from their storage place. I don’t know if the situation has changed, but it was just one warehouse and I thought Sweetwater was a chain?Double Tap wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 4:04 pm Gear4Music is about as close as the UK gets to Sweetwater as far as I can tell.

Yeah I thought it was just a shop like KMR and so on, but it’s listed on the stock exchange and turns over £148m a year!WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 7:53 pmI lived in York for ages and went to the Gear4Music sales warehouse once. Going by the number of G4M guitars I see on my local FB market page, I assume they're very popular. Especialy with beginners I guess, good SEO.Double Tap wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 9:36 pm Yeah I thought it was just a shop like KMR and so on, but it’s listed on the stock exchange and turns over £148m a year!

And it seems I got Sweetwater confused with Guitar Center.Double Tap wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 9:36 pmYeah I thought it was just a shop like KMR and so on, but it’s listed on the stock exchange and turns over £148m a year!WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 7:53 pmI lived in York for ages and went to the Gear4Music sales warehouse once. Sweetwater HQ is huge but mostly because the warehouse and the retail store is all-in-one on site. Their biggest notable is their online and phone sales though. They turned over 1.5 billion dollars in revenue last year.
Guitar Center (unrelated chain) shops generally are smaller but still nicely sized with individual 'rooms' for guitars, drums, keyboards, pianos, recording, and dj equipment.
Musicians Friend is an online-only retailer owned by Guitar Center folks. Which is kind of odd because Guitar Center has an online sales presence too. The combined company has over 2 billion dollars in revenue a year.
