I wondered if it could be considered to have more global modulators added to msoundfactory?

I rarely run out of per voice modulation, but sometimes I like to create complex modulation routings where each parameter moves at a different speed to another using global modulators.

If only the per voice modulators were allowed to run free.

This would also be excellent but I can understand why they arent - bet it saves a lot of CPU. But I'm sure there is some good compromise between the two.

Thats a shame but understandable. However surely if they're disabled they don't add to the CPU hit? I mean the global ones rather than the per voice ones? As they aren't permanently running?

For example I can technically have more modulators if I run MSF inside of MXXX - because MXXX adds a bunch more global modulators.

Another option would be to add the ability to create custom modulators in the signal flow graph in MXXX and the FX part of MSF. But I understand where this is a problem because I presume the modulators arent running at audio rate - so that'd be a hassle to continuously convert back and forth.

I think I'm just very used to environments like Reaktor/Max/AlphaForever where the design philosophy is different haha

- I was implying that it would've meant more "global" modulators. I think potentially overloading the CPU should be a user decision. There are lots of other options to kill a CPU, besides modulators. I really like Kilohearts Phase Plant approach in this respect. Anyway, allowing them to run free would not increase the number of modulators. Pretty please? :love:
