Nope, no demo as of now - instead they promise a no-questions-asked refund during [iIrc) a two week period after purchase, but good luck getting that through.

Nontheless if you want to rather effortlesslly (and also without spending a lot) experiment with console-style crosstalk, that's the way to go.
You are right, if the Plugin isnt available anymore, there are good chances that the Universe is trying to tell me something. Like 'Buy a Summing Mixer instead'.

Certainly a good Option, yet me already using enough DAWs, no Time and Intend to add a another one.

You could reduce all those DAWs down to just One. Studio One is the only one you need. And it’s all drag&drop and 100% intuitive so there’s zero learning curve.

Theoretically maybe but wont happen, even I find the Cross - Talking thing really neat.

Ive had great experience with bad plugins, particularly the Teletronix LA-2A and the 1176 range as a glue plugin, pricey but problem worth it with a good interface

Just a couple days after we had this discussion about Studio One Mix FX, Joe Gilder posted this video.
I swear Joe and Gregor must lurk around here.

UAD was (still is) a company the made hardware gear that is now considered classic so they have a lot to live up to.

They were one of the first software company's to "get it right", being a classic hardware user for a long time.

That said, the world of recording in a DAW has come a long way.
Now it is possible to do some of the great things you could only do before with that hardware.
There are several company's who are getting it right so the competition has improved the quality of recording an mixing, inside the box.

It has taken a long time but UAD is finally getting more affordable, likely due to the competition.

Are they worth it?

As always, try the demos....
Every one plays different music......

I keep repeating myself but, outside of Tape why has no third party attempted to bother with Mix FX ? I see loads of preamp emulations that would be absolutely perfect for what mix fx tries to do, yet devs seems to either not know it exists or want to make their plugs compatible, is this a case of it being too much bother for devs, or Presonus just doesn't want devs making plugs compatible ?

Yes, uad plugins are still worth in 2023, the subscription model is great, comes with a bunch of emulations and good souding synths! Uad and PA are the best companies when it comes to hardware emulation!

IIRC at the time, there was a big hoopla that some devs were going to implement for MixFX (Slate was one I think), but I don’t think they ever did, or at least I never heard more about it.

I have been using UAD since 2005. These are amazing plugins.
But I noticed that now I began to use them less and less...
In today's world, there are so many other plugins that, in my opinion, are more convenient, more functional, and with a more readable user interface.

It’s clear from the pricing games over the last months that the true UAD value of their plugins is currently under $50. I won’t pay more than that from here on, and likely no more than $30.

and likely no more than $30 $40.

Does anyone know why the Neve 1073 Preamp and EQ is available in the Spark subscription, but it is listed only as being for Apollo on uaudio.com and seemingly can't be purchased as a native plugin?
