I got that but I was using the post to answer the general thinking of “No need to add a specific feature in our DAW since, with the new protocol, the user can take our project file and go to another DAW to use a “feature we are not going to add because we need to focus on what we do best”.eerie_audio wrote: Thu Sep 28, 2023 8:47 pmI wasn't implying it was a good reason for them to not include a clip launcher. I was leaning more towards their reason why they would decide to skip adding it again for version 7. Even if a lot of people are expecting it in this day an age of modern electronic music. It seems like a conflict of interest for their new format, if they don't even need the cross platforming.liquidsound wrote: Thu Sep 28, 2023 5:54 pmSure! So a S1 user wishes to have a Clip Launcher in the near future built in S1 and now He/She must be so excited not to have it in S1 and so trilled to spend extra $300, or about, on another DAW with the CL PLUS the additional S1 usual upgrade?dellboy wrote: Thu Sep 28, 2023 3:59 pmSure does.eerie_audio wrote: Thu Sep 28, 2023 2:23 pm This seems like a reason not to include a clip launcher in Studio One version 7.
So that S1 can focus on what they do best... which is?![]()
Let the users invest in another DAW while they still paying for un update which is not going to include a “popular demand” feature… and on and on….
I don’t think that’s the intention of this new protocol…
