Nice! It's only the second one I've seen in the wild. Did you get it second hand or through a dealer?

Not gonna lie, my mk2 is for sale, but I’m tempted to keep it and have both, the mk2 for processing mixes via Overbridge, the +FX for external gear and individual tracks!elxsound wrote: Thu Oct 05, 2023 1:17 amCongrats! This one I’m curious to know what you think of the effects!
One of the Elektron forum admins said he would end up using both (MKii + MKiii) in different ways. Of course that’s an easy/possibly unhealthy way to wonder how I could benefit from the same.
So far, I’m loving the effects, especially the bitcrusher, sample reduction, warble, and bass module. The reverb and delays are better than the effects on most of my hardware synths, so that’s a plus, although I’ll still probably rely more on my Apollo’s DSP delays and reverbs.
I got it secondhand from a guy who barely touched it. Basically brand new!justin3am wrote: Thu Oct 05, 2023 3:13 amNice! It's only the second one I've seen in the wild. Did you get it second hand or through a dealer?

Pre-ordered a Behringer Kobol Expander. Andertons claims there’ll be units coming 20th October, but Thomann says it’ll be months so no idea when I’ll actually get it. The draw was literally everything on the unit being cv controllable and I’ve loved the sound of the Xils PolyKobol for years.
At some point I’m going to test out the theory that you can poly chain all these Behringer monosynths and don’t need to use multiple versions of the same model for it to work.

Thomann is a bit unpredictable with their delivery estimates and I wouldn't take their word as gospel. I was going to buy a Wasp from them some weeks back then the delivery time was 8 weeks. A few days later it was in stock.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Oct 06, 2023 10:37 pm Pre-ordered a Behringer Kobol Expander. Bought myself a digital stereo delay / looper called a Vongon Polyphrase this week.
Admittedly it is just a digital stereo delay, but it sounds nice and does some pretty cool stuff (like allow me to easily mimic Steve Reich's loop phasing shenanigans by simply setting the L / R sliders differently, around 7:45 in the video):

Actually, it's not in stock at Sweetwater. They're only taking pre-orders for them.Shabdahbriah wrote: Sat Oct 07, 2023 1:44 amOh cool, I had forgotten about that one. The same goes for the JT-4000 Micro and the Pro VS Mini. They're both on pre-order status. I asked when those two might be in stock, and my Sweetwater representative said they're not expected till spring of next year.

Edit: Just looked again and it claims 10+ of each in stock. Think they ship internationally if you want to risk it, but I've no idea how much that would add to the delivery cost.
tbh they're both in the "fit easily into hand luggage" size and weight category.

EU customers will have to pay:
- import tax
- a fee for the courier for customs declaration and transport to/from customs
(and VAT, of course, if Andertons doesn't charge that)
I used to buy stuff from the UK all the time, before that thing happened Brits are bored talking about.
