Hello, here's a question to Graindad users:
How do i setup Graindad to work like this?

I don't get how Graindad can be set up to have a very quick way of having sample recording, and then immediately playback on the fly with midi triggering the sample start :) For example: beatboxing into it, then being able to play each transient of the recording via midi note!
I built a Looper for Bitwig! :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z5ywDo2bU0

Hi,

Graindad can do this, sort of.
Just use the Harvester with MIDI notes (the little keyboard button), so that the 12 breakpoints can be adressed with 12 notes directly. Then place the Position object and the breakpoints so that it modulates the position control in the way you need it.

You can as well activate the Slice button below the Position Control, so you always adress a slice.

Since this is just a workaround, I made a new MIDI button below the Position control. It pops up when you activate the slice button. It will connect the keys (note 36 and upwards) to the slices directly. Additionally, when you set the recording mode to MIDI as well, all notes below 36 will be used as recording trigger. This should be available in the upcoming 1.0.6 update.

best,
Rico
