I figured out what happened.

TB changed how their plugs are installed, and thus M9 scanned them as different VST3 from what they were before. So technically I had the same VST3 twice in the plugin database, and M9 started giving instance errors. I cleared out the plugin database and rescanned and now all works well :)

Indeed it does!

Also, strangely, the Omnisphere VST2 version now loads with no blow ups!

Chef's Kiss! <3
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

These past 2 weeks has been the longest time away from Ableton (and counting!).
The Clip launcher is so freaking flexible!

Finally, you can stop using the generic plugin editor! :D

If only I could have gotten that far! The VST3 worked, so it was all good.

However, Mulab can run ALL of my plugins now that z3ta+2 runs! It was the last holdout.

MuLab App 9.3.16 beta is available on https://www.mutools.com/mulab/app/lates ... /beta.html

MuLab Plugin 9.3.16 beta is available on https://www.mutools.com/mulab/plugin/la ... /beta.html

Also the Windows 32 bit versions are available now.

What's changed:
  • Plugin Manager: Options: Rename Category.
You can also double-click a category in the "Categories" pane to rename it.
  • Fixed a couple of issues with the MacOS version, especially upon quit.
  • Implemented another method to safely handle new/open/revert project and quit while plugin editors are open. (in fact: reverted to the M9.2 method using a delayed DLL unload, but further finetuned that method)
  • Other small improvements.

Excellent work, thanks.

Brilliant that you have now really supported VST3. This is a strong move forward making MuLab a true rival to other hosts now.

One thing I really want to be changed is that the plugin manager shall have a dedicated section with user defined paths where plugins shall be looked for. There shall be a add button to add further paths and a remove button to remove an already defined path. Could be + and - buttons really. A update button would then be sufficient to look for new, removed or updated plugins.
The current path scan is somewhat clumsy and I hope that you could add this list of plugin paths with add, remove, edit buttons. Plus the overall update plugins button.

Would make usability much better I believe 👌

On the other hand, with the current solution you can select which of the plugins within a folder shall be added. I like that very much.
In MuLab I almost have finished a song before Cubase has finished plugin-re-search on startup ...

More I miss tempo-automation with curves like any other automation track.
But I'm very happy about VST3 and CLAP and I really do acknowledge the effort! Thank you!

I don't want the UPDATE to take place at every start - maybe you got me wrong. I want to manually update multiple plugin folders at once from a pre-configured list. Only manually in the manager. That's all 😊

I also like the way MuLab does plugins where you add them in one by one, as sometimes the plugin folder can have too many plugins in it.

I think MuLab has enough 'plugin features' now, and needs to enhance its own DAW identity that sets it apart.
