Yeah, if a package is damaged to the point where the outer box is no longer intact they usually send it back to the shipper. If they cut a check as the result of a claim/loss, that will also go to the shipper. Then you have to trust that the shipper will send you what you are owed.
If you purchased through Reverb, getting them involved is a really good idea. Much more likely to have a satisfying resolution that way.

I had a situation a long while back with a FedEx shipment where the outer box I shipped got destroyed but inside the box was a flight case, which had a copy of the shipping label on it, so they just continued the shipment, as if nothing had happened. I had sent them pictures before I dropped off the package, so the recipient was very surprised when the package arrived without the outer box!

I try to take pictures of stuff during the packing process, and when the package gets dropped off or picked up (with a dated receipt in the shot, if I can), just in case of problem. I've been thinking of throwing an Air Tag in the box whenever I ship something more than $1k.

I am hoping Cubase 13 is released soon and I may buy a new MIDI keyboard controller before the end of the year.

Wonders will never cease, the shipping date from Andertons was right and my Behringer Kobol being sent to me from their warehouse today. Must be getting one of the first units out the door as I haven’t seen any punter videos with the units on YouTube regardless of the main synthfluencers generally not covering Behringer stuff for the obvious reasons.

Congrats!

I thought about getting a Behringer Kobol. Let us know how you like it.

By the way, is it a volt/octave synth?

I was interested in the Behringer K-2, but I found out it was a V/Hz style synth, and it would have limited patching compatibility with my Neutron.

Yeah the kobol’s a v/oct, the K-2 stuck closely to the Korg standard of Hz/v inputs.
I’m interested to see if the Kobol will do duophonic, not sure.

Going to do some experiments with polyphony linking up different B monosynths anyway.

Ok so Kobol is here and it's really a cool little thing. I can get duophony if I just take the VCO 1 and 2 individual outs. After that point they go into a shared filter, envelopes and vca, but great if I want to take VCO 1 as a bass voice drone, can take that VCO out then VCO 2 is left to use the filter, envelopes and vca itself. I've been chucking the audio through my DAW into tracks and applying the Neural DSP Plini X plugin's effects to them and getting some hairy results.

Been playing around with the filter, it's a really creamy 4 pole one. Really tasty and as there's a route to just to use it with external audio it could get some play outside of the onboard oscillators.

I got a new 5-pin mic cable for my Mojave MA-200!!! :wheee:

The old one shorted out and forced me to use a different mic for my last recording session. Sorry, not very exciting for anyone but me.

Don't be too sure. I'd be pretty happy if I had the chance to use a Mojave MA-200. Congrats, on getting it back in use! :)

I think the Kobol looks quite elegant, and I really like the sounds you're getting from it. 8)

It's now in the synth section of my rather extensive bucket list. :D

Pay day arrived a day early and there was one of these going cheap on ebay

I didn’t think I had a spare ADAT port but then remembered I only use my Focusrite currently for its mic and guitar inputs so could lose the ADAT on that and just send those on into an ADA8200, means I’ll instantly get 8 fresh new ins and outs from the modular which is, in a word, ample.

Thanks! It’s an amazing mic and one of the unsung heroes in my studio. My backup/other mic is a Shure SM7B, which is obviously a great vocal mic, but the MA-200 is just so warm and detailed. Definitely one of the best studio purchases I’ve ever made.

Holy crap that daft little video I made with the Behringer Kobol that I posted in on here on Saturday has nearly had a thousand views.
Slightly up from my usual 20 or 30. I guess people are interested in the new gear Behringer are sticking out but because the synthfluencers are throwing a mardy they don't get loopop etc chucking out vids on the stuff weeks in advance so people are grubbing around watching the stuff even idiots like me put out. :)

If I'd known I'd have (a) put a little more effort into it and (b) definitely snuck some dodgy content in there somewhere.
