Yeah this one is a real bummer. It works very unintuitively and leads to exceptionally bad performance when playing with a sustain pedal.searlstudio wrote: Sun Nov 26, 2023 12:37 pm Is there a way to stop Avenger from voice-stealing while using the sustain pedal (CC64)?
For example, if I have a pad sound and I play the same note repeatedly without cc64, multiple voices of polyphony are used (good).
However, if I play the same note repeatedly while using the sustain pedal, Avenger re-uses the same voice. It's also represented in Avenger's polyphony meter. Repeated playing one note with cc64 engaged uses only one voice. Without cc64 and a long release engages multiple voices.
Is there a way to change that cc64 voice-stealing behavior in Avenger?
Thnx
I hope this can be fixed at some point.
In general, voice allocation would be nice to have an option that it works as a big universal voice (like in traditional synths), not per oscillator. As it is setup now, many synthesizer techniques are impossible to play. You can't setup a 4 voice polyphonic patch and abuse that voice stealing for creative purposes.
So basically I'd love to be able to have a preset that has for instance 5 oscillators in use but then have it all counted as a single "voice" and then be able to set the polyphony to 3 notes and abuse the stealing with options for controlling low/high and last note priority.
