I'm reaching out for guidance on a spectral processing technique used in "Phantom Center" by Bertom Audio and "CenterOne" by Leapwing Audio.

I'm looking to extract the phantom center from a stereo signal in the frequency domain. Bertom's Phantom Center does this effectively, but I want to gain more control over the Buffer Size and Resolution(ms). Bertom's plugin has a fixed Buffer Size at 4096, and I'd like to be able to tweak that (like MSpectralPan)

Additionally, CenterOne has a feature called "Center Channel Width":
"Controls the width of the extracted Center channel. When set to -100, it only extracts phantom sources located exactly in the middle of a stereo stream. As it is increased toward +100, it opens up and also extracts audio that is slightly left and right of the center stereo image."

I've experimented with MSpectralDynamics, attempting to compress the mid with the sidechain of the side signal, but I haven't achieved the desired results :( I'm currently stuck and unsure of the next steps. I would greatly appreciate your guidance :help:

Thanks for your time!

Well, MSD won't do the trick, but I suppose making such a plugin could be quite trivial for us, it's probably already there :), I'll think about it.

I'd definitely love to see such a plugin in the future! Thanks so much for taking the time to answer.
Much appreciated!
