Do you experience frequent crashes of DAW with Vaporizer? I’m using Reaper7. The crashes are not deterministic but always happens when browsing factory presets.

Is there maybe a file access problem with where your factory presets are stored? Maybe e.g. the wavetables folder or something strange like that?

Yes, I get exactly that in Reaper. When browsing factory presets. I'm glad it's not just me. It's annoying!

Me too. The update helped a little but didn't get rid of it. One of the sampled drum patches does it every time. Luckily, it never crashes using patches I've already created / loaded.

One could try the using the version for older systems. It does not seem to exhibit this particular problem in REAPER. At least not on an old system.

When I save a patch, Vaporizer says I do not have write permission to the location of the preset files - correct as it's in the c:\program files path - I simply point it to my user/documents/vaproizer2/presets folder ... oddly, setting this as the default user presets path in vapor, does seem to set it !!!

Anyway, I can work around it ... Reaper.

I think the general gist/point is to honour/highlight the synth and what it, more or less, itself, can do.

If you keep that in mind, the qualifications/limitations would seem to make sense and be relatively easy to follow.

In any case, while I'm too late for the Challenge, are there ways I could, out of curiosity, listen to some tunes in progress or are already complete? Links?

If you think you've missed some entry deadline already, you haven't. To enter, you only have to post your entry by the end of the month. (If you mean you don't think you can finish in two weeks, I can relate.)

There isn't a playlist of entries yet. One will be created when the voting period starts on the first of next month. Reaper 6.9. No crashes but every instance quits working after about 15 minutes and have to start over. Neat sound. But don't think I'm going to put up with that.

Hi - if this is a submission for #178, you will, unfortunately, have to remove the drum samples.

The use of the sampler in vaporiser is not allowed this month.

As a word of warning - many, if not most, of the percussion presets use samples.

When you load one, simply check if the sampler is active (bottom left). If it is, you can't use that preset - use of the sampler is not ALLOWED at all.

Sorry to bring bad tidings as lots of the "hats" presets would be nice to have, but as above, no go.
