I'm still in K11 and I won't upgrade to K14Ultimate for $150. Not for me, but it may not be the same for all.
Eventually I will be forced to get kontakt 7 though...

What is the reason that you won't upgrade?

I don't use 90% of it. Mostly I use some of the plugins (the softube ones mostly), a few libraries (a piano or two)... and of course I must use kontakt for the 3rd party libraries that I actually use. Other than that, everything else has been uninstalled years ago. It's not that they're bad, it's just that I use other stuff that I like better, and for sure I don't need 109 synths... I use Diva and Dune.

I also have K11 Ultimate and bought standalone Kontakt 7 a while back when they had it on sale and got it as an upgrade from the v6 that came with Komplete IIRC, cost about £45 IIRC.

So, maybe you could wait for a Kontakt sale and investigate K7 upgrades then?

I noticed in this sale that there is a path to go from that Kontakt 7 to standard Komplete 14 currently for £179.50 (so £134.50 with voucher), but still not enough there to make it worthwhile for me. I think my plan is to hold on for Kontakt 8 and upgrade to whichever Komplete Standard it is part of.

Not fussed about spending this voucher. If they’re now part of the Plugin Alliance bunch there will always be bloody vouchers.

I haven't used most of K13U, but wouldn't mind having a lot of VSTs in K14 CE.

They sent me an email stating the crossgrade price was reduced to $99.50 from a qualifying product and if I could apply the voucher to that I may have at least considered it. Of course I couldn't. I could however apply the voucher to the full version on sale for $149.50 bringing it down to $99.50. Which would be the better way to go since a full license isn't tied to a crossgrade and can be sold easier down the line. I consider this because I have quite a few NFR libraries and many of those require the Full version. But alas, it's just not enough to tempt me throwing away any more money to them and their abuse.

You guys outside the US should really use the 14.50 EUR Massive expansions as fillers for all the 99 EUR libraries. Amazing deals to be had. Fables and Lores bundle for 63,50 and so on...
