Yeah, i can do this with Hive2, Vital, Phase Plant, but cannot figure out a way to do it with Pigments. It (afaik) only has an import wavetables function, as opposed to a location adding function. Very annoying, but you've inspired me to verify this so cheersglokraw wrote: Thu Jan 25, 2024 1:12 pmYou should be able to create symbolic links from the wavetables in your Serum folderswilow11 wrote: Thu Jan 25, 2024 1:36 am I also really dislike having multiple copies of things in different locations.

to what is expected by Pigments. In a pair of filemanagers, open one to the (empty) Pigments folder, and from the second manager, select and drag all the wavetable content, and select the link option, instead of copy or move. Your OS may have a different term for 'link'. I do this so Hive, Vital, Surge and Synthmaster One all can access the same content without duplicates.
Might have to un-nest folder collections if Pigments file browsing is extremely lame.

Yeah you can - just add your symbolically linked folder to /Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/User (Mac but I assume there is an equivalent on Windows)swilow11 wrote: Thu Jan 25, 2024 11:18 pmYeah, i can do this with Hive2, Vital, Phase Plant, but cannot figure out a way to do it with Pigments. Had a little snoop, and found
C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Samples\Pigments has folders for Factory, Misc, and User, so things
should be easy to link up.

That's not how it works. You claim something, you prove it. I really like this synth, mainly because of the squencer and how easy the synth is to use.
Talking about sequencer, i dont get it, why big synths developers of likes phaseplant, serum, vital, dune, hive, rapid don't add such easy to use sequencer. Making sequences is a pain in those synths (except in hive its acceptable) while it suppose to be fun.

I had decided not to buy new synths years ago, but Pigments' sequencer lured me in...
...and I'm glad it did, such a fine synth!
Too often we're left with a choice between:
- powerful dedicated sequencer plugins (e.g. Seqund) that sadly don't have immediate access to synth parameters
- built-in sequencers that are lacking in features like polymetrics and probabilistics, and are cumbersome to use

My thoughts exactly (except that I don't use Hive's sequencer either).Lbdunequest wrote: Fri Jan 26, 2024 9:03 pm Talking about sequencer, i dont get it, why big synths developers of likes phaseplant, serum, vital, dune, hive, rapid don't add such easy to use sequencer. Exactly. Claiming trolling is not an argument. I'm have no doubt that software package developers leave gaps in their range to allow for 3rd party upgrades. Like macOS' mails terrible search function. They could make it feature packed so there's no need to outsource but they also want the 3rd party money. In this case Arturia's '3rd party' product would be their own.chk071 wrote: Fri Jan 26, 2024 12:40 pmThat's not how it works. You claim something, you prove it. Looks good to me. What is a bit of a pity, that you can't add more engine tabs and filters. It is fixed to three parallel generators and 2 filters.... Why?? Can add up to 8 generators and filters in avenger for example.

Is anyone who hasn't purchased the Explorations bundle packs (particularly Expressive Explorations) seeing them in the in-app sound store in Pigments or Analog Lab? I'm not seeing them in either. If you're seeing them what plugin format are you using (as in VST3 etc.)? Or do you see them only in standalone?

I'll have to check next time I'm on my PC if there's a way to do it manually, but for me it was automatic after staying on the store page for a few seconds (or maybe I was browsing the store for a bit and returned to the main page). It wasn't immediate for me, so maybe you need to give it time to trigger some sort of check.Ou_Tis wrote: Sun Jan 28, 2024 12:18 amIs there a way to make the store refresh itself??concealed identity wrote: Sun Jan 28, 2024 12:16 amI see it in the VST3, but the store had to refresh itself firstOu_Tis wrote: Sun Jan 28, 2024 12:11 am Is anyone who hasn't purchased the Explorations bundle packs (particularly Expressive Explorations) seeing them in the in-app sound store in Pigments or Analog Lab? Avenger limited to 8
(why can't they add 50?),
so it's also limited, isn't it?!
I didn't know that Pigment
is supposed to be an emu/copy
of Avenger.
