I voted. It's a subjective thing but not totally. I'm sure I have some 4's that others have as 5's. And some 3's where others have 2's, etc. Something way off is probably rare. I gave 5's to two jazzy tracks and I hate jazz. I attempted a relatively even distribution from 2 to 5. I would hate to only give a couple people a 2 out of 59 entrants.
Some people may be attempting "fusion" and it just sounds like stuff that really doesn't go together for me at least. But anyway even the 2's have merit. I'd take you all over Taylor Swift. Though she seems like a nice person.

I want to point out I got followed yesterday by someone who has 12k follows and was following 1798 people. 6 hours later he was following 1860. Also although he has a few tracks posted, you click on his bio and he's just selling some 'help artists get noticed' bullshit.
So he followed 62 people in 6 hours and he's done this for around 20k people. (You follow a bunch, some follow you back, periodically you delete most of your follows so your ratio looks good).
Clearly actual spam. And soundcoud is ok with that but deleting NeverRiot for a few likes.
Another point: if you report the spam, it automatically blocks it, so you can't see if anything is ever actually done about it.
There's good money to be made from people buying listens, etc. Soundcloud could make good money by taking out the middle man. So they don't do anything about the spam which is actually from them (they're actually the milkclub, etc) but make sure to delete real people for liking a few tracks so they appear to be doing something.
The alternative is that they're just complete morons.

I think that is somewhat disrespectful to complete morons.
SC, only 5 minutes ago, removed my reply to another user's comment on my own track. This happens all the time. Maybe I just need to pony up for Next Pro...
<edit>
My comment on Aiyn Zahev's track has also been removed - not sure when, I left it earlier today but it's no longer there. I'm going to open another support ticket, wish me luck, I'll need it.

I would appreciate in the future when there's a free OSC like this if it's stated at the outset as part of the instructions to put the synth in the title.

Ideally would be if all OSCs were organized based on KVR servers, not external services.Aiynzahev wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 12:14 am I would appreciate in the future when there's a free OSC like this if it's stated at the outset as part of the instructions to put the synth in the title.
This would give great access to the OSC archive, no risk that SoundCloud delete some file (or author), easier data edit (special form with author name, synth name, song name etc). I always believe that it is good to have full control over the resources you manage. And then it would be even easier to made changes in player, voting system etc. For users it would be great to have possibility to download some big archive(s) with all previous OSC songs. It's part of history after all.

As for hosting - as far as I know, OSC is not an official KVR thing. It's run for users by volunteers, leveraging the KVR forum for organising and such.

Voted. Average should be 4.5, but to use full vote range, adjusted. Makes me sad.

I did spanned quite more the notes than usual, sorry if it feels hars! 3 is already a really good track for me this month.
