I might send you a question or two in the near future. Thank you :)

I did some industrial espionage and noticed that quite a few companies in audio software industry are using Ionos.com. After comparing it to several other web hosting providers, I also came to the conclusion that it might indeed be one of the better ones. Among many good things, it provides free SSL certificate for your website, where as others force you purchase it.

Ionos.com also provides really affordable VPS hosting, which sounds intriguing, but it might be out of my skill level to install and configure everything from scratch. Otherwise it really does sound like an appealing option.

Now the big question is if they can provide X amount of e-mail accounts also, or if e-mail accounts should be purchased from another service. That zoho.com looks promising, I have to admit.

Forced to purchase SSL certificates? This is for them very easy to completely automate with "Let's Encrypt" certificates issued by the nonprofit Internet Security Research Group (ISRG)

I'd advice to start with simple (shared) hosting. A virtual private server is usually way over the top, not what you need.

Email accounts: how large is X? At my provider I got unlimited email addresses for free. Also there's often the option to define aliases. There used to be a facility of a catch-all email address (everything not explicitly listed but targeted at your domain) would end up in a common mailbox, but due to spamming lots of providers stopped supporting that.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. Image

Yep, and they want good money for it too. Over 100 dollars or so. Total BS IMHO.

Sounds like the safest way to proceed. I think I'll do just that.

Ionos.com seems to have half of the world not in their customer list: "Choose your country" doesn't have my country listed for some reason... Bummer.
