Do you have examples, that can proove problems with our hearing?
Will the examples prove anything to those who don't hear the difference? :phones:
I was expecting this answer. Boring.
That's because yours is absolutely unpredictable and excessively entertaining. That's why my normal-ish answer greatly pales in comparison
Weapons of choice (subject to change):
Godin Redline, Kuassa, Fuse Audio, Audiority, Roland A-500pro, Dune, Dagger, TAL, Reaper for Rock & Synthwave pleasures; Viper and FL Studio for guilty EDM pleasures

I like the GUI of both for different reasons. However, it all boils down to sound for me and I think Dune sounds noticeably better. For granular i prefer Rapid to Pigments.

That said, I do enjoy building patches in Pigments.

Obviously, Dune. Pigments is just a marketing gimmick.

Pigments hands down at this point right?

Pigments for DnB neuro sounds

Dune or Hive for everything else

Thanks for the hint! Now we know for sure that it is only for that! The topic can be locked now.

Pigments for when you want to make music

Dune when you want to press a key and get blown off your chair

Half-joking aside, Pigments sounds great for a lot of simpler stuff like keys and can make a lot of stranger stuff too

Dune using layers makes for a giant sound and good for more of those types of productions

That's my basic analysis

I have and mainly use dune, pigments and massive x. I find dune good for drum synthesis with the layers and also bass because of the wavetable editor. Massive x is good for overdriven/dirtier sounds and phase modulation because of the routing.
Then pigments covers all the stuff the other 2 are lacking in. I don't think it sounds worse than dune just different.
If I could only pick one it would be dune.
