it's not my experience at all. Real world not theoretically. An external SSD via USB3 is far superior.

Feed it two instrument tracks. When only one is playing/has a signal, the plugin pans it "center". When both start playing, the plugin pans them out L/R. It might save you a few automation clicks.

XLN audio life for $62.4 at official store is price glitch?
It seems double discount calculated as $149x0.7x0.6=$62.4.
Other stores are $75-$88. It's same to XO price.

Does Steinberg ever have a sale of Wavelab?

Yes, but it is only once or twice a year--I waited quite a while for one.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

I wonder if the samples Wusik sells are the same as these free ones? Both say they are over 10,000 wav files.

It's not that I don't believe your test but you have to consider the hardware also. The SD card reader has to support high speed SD-Cards. And you only state the card is Kodak. What specs does it have?

Post

Does it even matter in terms of sample libraries? It seems to me that either is sufficient.

With that said, it’s definitely worth reiterating that SD cards won’t last nearly as long. Any libraries I can’t easily replace are on my main drive.

It appears to be not the fastest, variables aside. Kodak 64GB V30 U3 There are faster professional results options, below. Maybe not the most cost effective.
Fastest SD Cards – Real Speed Test Results / August 2024 (UHS II looks like the fastest)

Thank you for the heads up, should have been more suspicious about the credit card requirement.
