Yep, possible. SM3 has a different plugin id so you can install side by sidemevla wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 5:34 pm I have Synthmaster 1 and 2. Is it possible to try the version 3 demo without affecting at all the 1 and 2 installation ?

Why is that not on by default? I believe I tried this and it didn't work either. I select loop type continous and nada. Furthermore, nothing indicates the loop points are read, no loop is highlighted. When I turn on loop, I have to then manually create the loop points.Olnium wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 6:22 pmLooping is not enabled by default. You need to go to the editor page and enable looping, then loop type.Touch The Universe wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 1:13 pmCurious, as I've thrown a couple at it and none have been read, so maybe I'm doing something wrong. Is it automatically being read? Do I have to manually turn it on?kv331 wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 8:46 amYes, SM3 can read loop points, loop mode, cue points from wav/aif files.
I'll try again but I'm pretty certain there is an issue on my end. I'll upload some wave files if I find that's the case and proof there are indeed loop points. If anyone else can confirm the loop points are being read, please share, possibly uploading 1 file to test.

Are you sure that the samples you're loading have pre-saved loop points? Also, make sure you select the correct region for the note you're playing to see the loop markers and sample playhead. Works for me (if I can get a multisample to load at all, which is a separate issue).Touch The Universe wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 7:00 pm

@kv331
I'm still unable to load any Zampler banks as is, however, using ConvertWithMoss sample converter, selecting Sfz as source and Sfz as destination (with the option "Remove JUNK, junk, FLLR and MD5 chunks" selected), I'm able to instantly load the newly converted Sfz without issue. Perhaps this will help you pin down the issue? Maybe you could strip the Wav headers on load or ignore them completely?

Missing waveform for Layer 1:Voice LFO1:Wave 2 : Bluffmunkey\Blufftable 23.6
I have been seeing this "missing waveform" error often when I attempt to load presets from expansions and was hopeful that the v3.0.2 update would resolve the problem.
(eg Nori Ubukata Art Rock Basics - G Stick Bas + Melo Uni).
Unfortunately I am still getting this error after installing rev15512 of SM3.
I have SM1 and SM2 previously installed and they seem fine.
I have refreshed presets online in SM3 and this makes no difference.
I have attempted to add UserPresetsFolder<n> directories to SynthMasterPresetsFolders.txt to point to SM2 directories, but on restart SM3 reinitialises this txt file, removing my entries. (I thought that this also was fixed in v3.0.2.)
What trick am I missing to use the expansions in SM3?
Thanks
Thanks for the suggestions to resolve this. I have now installed v3.0.3 and it seems to me to have fixed this issue. I no longer get "missing waveform" messages. SM3 now looking very good.
Thanks

It would be cool to have an auto-loop feature for samples, since some of us (me especially
) aren't the best at finding decent loop points. I know of another synth plugin out there that has that type of feature, so hopefully one day it can be in SM3.

Just to double check, I imported some multi-samples from free Zampler C64 multisamples. As I said before, loop points ARE read from wav or aif files. So, assuming the files you have might have some issues, could you please send them to me: info AT kv331audio DOT com Thanks!Touch The Universe wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 7:00 pm Why is that not on by default? Here is the screenshot of the files I imported:

I need to shoot a video to explain the Sample Editor, it actually simplifies finding loop points. Hopefuly next week I will do that.Examigan wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 10:38 pm It would be cool to have an auto-loop feature for samples, since some of us (me especially) aren't the best at finding decent loop points. I was able to load both sfz files you sent me without any issues so far.Olnium wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 8:05 pm I'm still unable to load any Zampler banks as is, however, using ConvertWithMoss sample converter, selecting Sfz as source and Sfz as destination (with the option "Remove JUNK, junk, FLLR and MD5 chunks" selected), I'm able to instantly load the newly converted Sfz without issue. The workflow was simple: Drag-n-drop sfz file on to basic oscillator waveform view:

I've been using the same drag and drop procedure but for me, the original version brings up the sample import dialog, scans to around 20%, then just stops. I've tried leaving it for over 15 minutes and it never completes. The converted files load instantly.kv331 wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2024 5:03 pmI was able to load both sfz files you sent me without any issues so far.Olnium wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 8:05 pm I'm still unable to load any Zampler banks as is, however, using ConvertWithMoss sample converter, selecting Sfz as source and Sfz as destination (with the option "Remove JUNK, junk, FLLR and MD5 chunks" selected), I'm able to instantly load the newly converted Sfz without issue. Could it be system specific? I've got ffmpeg installed and pointed to in PATH so my codecs should be good. Anything else you can think of? I did notice that Zampler banks have a different directory structure to most other Sfzs, in that they store the .sfz and the sample pool in the same directory, while all of my others have the sample pool 1 level down in a separate "samples" folder, which is how they are organized after conversion with ConvertWithMoss.
Note that I can load Sfzs from other sources without issue, and I can load Zampler banks in other samplers without issue.
Thanks for your continued efforts with this.

Are you on Windows or MacOS? What is the exact name of the root directory these files reside? (For my they were under Downloads directory of my MacOS user) Also, are you sure you are running the latest version of SM3 (v3.0.3) ?Olnium wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2024 5:19 pm I've been using the same drag and drop procedure but for me, the original version brings up the sample import dialog, scans to around 20%, then just stops. Please try this:
MacOS:
1. Delete /Users/Shared/SynthMaster3/SynthMasterSamplesFolders.txt
2. Delete /Users/Shared/SynthMaster3/SynthMasterSamples.wfdb
Windows:
1. Delete C:/Users/Public/Public Documents/SynthMasterSamplesFolders.txt
