Basically, my naive idea is that for track 1, program 40 would be selected at the start of bar 2, and then at the start of bar 3 it would switch to program 25 - i.e. the ability to change programs in a track in real time.
I have fixed it in the new version 1.0.4.
Cheers, Björn

This is an OSC legal six-traq track that isn't my submission: https://soundcloud.com/anotherjaysherma ... al_sharing

This is my first time participating to this kind of challenge (or any challenge, for that matter), so let me know if something isn't right. I used quite a few Analog Obsession plugins, seemed on brand for the synth, but everything in light touches, except maybe the delay on the lead :)
Very nice analog 80s sound on the bass. I like that. I also like the analog quality of the soft pad.

For me this use of analog-o-matic plugins is well within the spirit of the challenge. I personally would prefer to listen to something that sounds good rather than pure as long as any spice up is subtle. My own #188 is very pure, almost all my effects are MIDI, automation or LFO of synth parameters, but that is just the flavor I was looking for in this track. I like your analog-ish sounds.

Haha, just a tiny goof with the title/image. Miami is east coast, so a sunset drive should really be a sunrise drive :ud:

A little feedback from the Bitwig/Clap front.
Though 1.0.3 seemed a little better I get things breaking constantly. I have experienced whole tracks go silent after reloading the project. Some tracks can be reactivated by deactivating/activating the (1) plugin or the (2) track. Next level is (3) that deleting the plugin in the track and create it newely get's me sound back. Worst cases when (1) to (3) failed went as far as I need to create a new copy of the buggy track and then delete the buggy one. BTW: Whenever I ran into this "soundless" track incident I replaced the CLAP plugin by VST3.
At this point in time I personally cannot recommend to use Bitwif 5.2.4, 5.2.5 with SixTraq CLAP. I don't know and speculated about whether the problem is on Bitwigs, CLAP plugin or my system side. It's simply not working in that combination. So use carefully if you plan to go Bitwig 5.2.5and CLAP.

Maybe v1.0.4 helps a little bit, I added some more "Verhüterlis" to the CLAP version...

KSHMR Essentials Kick (W.A. Production)
Does the "sub" module of KSHMR Essentials Kick do pitch control of the sub? Then it would not work for OSC. If it's simply an EQ the I think it is okay.

Please forgive me for car-nerding. The picture shows a girl driving a Testarossa convertible. The convertible Testarossa, was called the Testarossa Spider, which was also featured in the Sega arcade game "Out Run". Ferrari only ever made a single one-off Spider in 1987 (silver colored), all other Testarossas are coupes. A handful aftermarket non-Ferrari shop-modifications Spiders still exist today.

So, a convertible Ferrari Testarossa is an extremely rare car. Nice choice for the backstory. It got me excited 8). I just though you should know.

I used the plugin mainly to buff up a bit the mids of the kick and give it some width. Following your comment, I just tried to solo the kick right now and pushed that module up to 11 to see if it tempered with the pitch, but didn't notice any change on that side. It does dampen the sound, but only when on full blast and my settings where pretty low for that one (see screenshot). So I wouldn't say that it changed the pitch... your ear might be finer than mine, though.

I have just asked about the natureof this module. Not wanted to imply anything.
I watched the intro video of Venus Theorie and I was not sure. I haven't read the manual, therefore I have asked you. The "tune kick" thing is something I often spend quite some time especially in combination with the off beat bass, even trying to phase align both in the end to avoid cancelations. that's why I have some sensitivity for that topic... Anyways thx for the clarification.

Oh, I didn't think you were implying anything, this was an absolutely valid point you raised there, which is exactly what I was asking for in my original post. I also came across the plugin through VT's video... and didn't read the manual. I'm just fiddling with stuff to see what it sounds like and didn't even realize there was this key thing on the sub module. So, on the contrary, thanks for bringing this to my attention!

DAW: Bitwig 5.2.5

Plugins:
  • Standard Channels: 23 * SixTraq, mvMeter2, MEqualizer, MCompressor, PeakLimiter, dpMeter5. Tool
  • Additional stuff: Delay+, MCompressor as Parallel Compressor, #Supermassive, lot's of fancy Bitwig Stuff like Curve-Modulator, NoteReceiver.
  • MasterChain: Auburn Lens, Bitwig Compressor+, Loudmax
  • Metering: Isol8, PsyScope, Youlean LoudnessMeter, Immerse Virtual Studio (just for listening over headphones)
  • Listening: all done via Headphone Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro (with correction software), control listen on my Car, small consumer speakers and Smartphone.
  • Presets: All doe from some kind of init, i.e. percussive organ or the init preset that is in effect after loading the plugin.
  • Loudness: ~ -11.5 LUFS integrated
I'm proud that you can turn up volume full 11 and it gives you punch but no mud or harsh frequencies ... at least not for my old ears. It was fun to sit in my car and turn up the volume and move like a jerk to the rhythm :-) I'm coming closer to the sound that I want to create, but I think I need a few rounds more to get the real hands up in the air stadium edm I wanted to achive.

Hello again Björn! It seems that the VST3 version doesn't receive MIDI CC data (at least for me in Cakewalk). Could you look into this?
