It is indeed working. But looks like the direction is reversed, I will fix that. When you shorten the note length, after 1, it becomes 1/2 , 1/3 and then 1/4. For those values, there are divider lines on the step volume to indicate that the length is smaller than 1. Maybe I should change their color so they are more visible.buffalo roam wrote: Wed Oct 16, 2024 11:11 pm Again, I can only get notes to hold for a longer period of time, but I can't get a single step to shorten to a half- or a quarter-step. Swiping left actually had the effect of lengthening notes. This just isn't working for me on my computer.

The latest version seems to be unusable in the latest versions of Ableton and Bitwig (at least with Windows 11), as well as Cubase 12. Audio previews of presets produce sound, but other than that, Synthmaster 3 doesn't seem to produce sound at all. Neither midi inputs nor Synthmaster's gui keyboard produce any sound. Synthmaster 2 and other VST instruments are working fine.
Assuming there isn't some simple way to correct this, could you please let us revert to the last version that was working?

Try deleting config file: My Documents/SynthMaster3/Config/SynthMaster3Config.txt

Deleting the config file fixed it, thanks! (On my computer it was in Documents, not "My Documents".) [Edit: I hadn't made any changes in global settings after installing the new version.]kv331 wrote: Sun Oct 20, 2024 9:05 amCan NOT reproduce this, did you make any changes in global settings? like MIDI Input Channel ?Ou_Tis wrote: Sat Oct 19, 2024 10:30 pm The latest version seems to be unusable in the latest versions of Ableton and Bitwig (at least with Windows 11), as well as Cubase 12. Before deleting it, it might be good to look at that file to see what setting was off (maybe like Bulent mentioned, MIDI settings, etc.) in case it happens again.
Is there a way to have a button or setting in SM3 to delete that config file when things are not working right? Then the user doesn't have to look for wherever it is and delete it.

Before installing the new version, in the previous version I had installed (which was probably rev14735) I'd guess that I changed Global Midi Input Channel to MPE and Global Pitch Bend Range to 48.kv331 wrote: Sun Oct 20, 2024 9:05 amdid you make any changes in global settings? like MIDI Input Channel ?

About that, I have an update: Looks like in sfz files you don't have to include loop start/end points IF the sample file contains that information in its headers. I just discovered this while loading free sfz files downloaded from the internet
So, the fix will be in 3.0.4. Also, I am adding support to read loop information from FLAC headers.

When you mouse over the I/O pins, you should see a small translucent circle over the pin you're about to click on. Watch for this when attempting to make connections.wintoid wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 7:04 am I'm struggling sometimes with connecting FM oscillators together. I made a little video. I'm doing that, though. You can see this in the screenshot of the movie I uploaded evenCollusion wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 7:15 amWhen you mouse over the I/O pins, you should see a small translucent circle over the pin you're about to click on. Are you sure you are running the latest version? Please check your version because I fixed the pins looking very small issue already.wintoid wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 7:04 am I'm struggling sometimes with connecting FM oscillators together. I made a little video. Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong?
What is your OS and monitor dimensions by the way ?
Here's how it looks on Windows with a 4K monitor, using 200% skin:
