I need to ask that those that have upgraded please add which OS and version they're on?
I'm currently on Win 10 with Cubase 13 (AI Elements) that's very stable.
Asking because Bitwig 5 has been a nightmare and has finally got me to revert to using Bitwig 4 since it works without issue. Last thing I need is to be a beta bug finder for anyone else.

I hope at some point the modulators have a midi learn, so that you can control them from a keyboard controller with CC;s.
Right now the midi learn points to the destination, but it would be great if there was one that points to the source (as a destination) as well.

Your post is pumping the GAS in me! But I'll resist till the nearest discount (Easter 2025 mostly)!Trancit wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 2:27 am I wonder why nobody is mentioning the drum synths they offer for the new drum machine...
I am really impressed so far how good they sound... (haven´t dived in too much though)
Everything 3rd party I tried or implementations into i.e. Bitwig and Ableton are 1. very basic and/or 2. sound very artificial while the new Cubase modules sound immediately like using my favourite samples but with tons of control...
There are of course many much more advanced Kick synths... but for Hihats, Snares, Claps etc... this is by a ton the best I heard so far...
Did I got the wrong impression here??
The same goes for the new Shimmer reverb... this is easily on par with my favourite which is Valhalla Shimmer but it seems with more control...
What do you think about this???
Using mainly Cubase 13, Live 12 Suite and Reason 13 on a PC/Win11 and Logic Pro on mini Mac/Sequoia.

Windows 10 upgraded from 13 pro to 14 pro. I spent maybe 4-5 hours in Cubase 14 with no problems.BBFG# wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 11:47 am I need to ask that those that have upgraded please add which OS and version they're on?

Question, will 14 replace version 13 automatically if I upgrade? Like can I specify an install location for 14 to keep 13 as it is? Or will it just install 14 alongside 13?
I'll likely upgrade unless it replaces 13 entirely and there's no way to keep both versions.

You have to do that manually..
It installs alongside Cubase 13 if you already have that installed, like every single version have before.
What you can then do is choose a Cubase file, works for both mac and pc, and tell it to always open with Cubase 14 and change all (on mac).. and it will now be your default Cubase application.
You can of course uninstall Cubase 13 after if you wish.

Win 10 also here. Updated from C13 Pro to C14 Pro. Very stable, as always with Cubase. Using it many, many hours daily.

So it will install alongside 13? I do have 13 installed, I really just want the option to open either 13 or 14. I have the 13 installer still, so worse case I can reinstall it I suppose. I know I could run two version of Studio One but had to set another location when installing to avoid the previous version from being replaced by the current one.zvenx wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 3:07 am You have to do that manually..

I am now a bit confused by your question.
Each version of Cubase and Nuendo on both mac and PC install separately from the previous versions..
It will take the preferences from the most previous versions but otherwise leave all previous versions untouched. (that is the first time you try to run Cubase 14, it will look to see if you have Cubase 13 installed and import the preferences from Cubase 13, or whatever the highest previous version you have installed)
(I only recently removed Cubase 11 from my mac and PC hence why you dont' see it)

You can keep and use both, but I'll bet that if you get 14, you'll only want to use that.nusound mind wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 3:01 am Question, will 14 replace version 13 automatically if I upgrade?
