I had to do a reinstall of Windows a few days ago and just downloaded the latest version of SM3 from the website. After I tried to load it up in my DAW, a notice said there is an update. Shouldn't the one I just downloaded about 15 mins ago be the latest?

It's not a big deal, but thought you should know.

Also starting with an Init preset, if I duplicate Osc1, the next Osc that appears shows up as Osc3.

It seems to work OK as long as I leave the osc type the same in the Init preset, but it if I change it to Vanalog osc or something else, then duplicate the osc, then the 2nd one shows as Osc3.

If I Init the preset, change that first osc to Additive, then that first (and only) osc shows up as Osc2.

Thank you! Those little details achieve us getting closer to analog sound. Now the major "missing" part to get the analog sound is to improve the filters.

I already like how the filters in SM sound, but if you can improve them, that's even better.

But that's gonna happen hopefuly after we release SynthMaster 3 iOS. (We seriously need to do that, as business is NOT good at all, and we need new revenue sources to survive )

You have a great product, so it's probably the marketing that's the issue, and your approach seems a little dated. Maybe get some help on updating your website and ads.

But an iOS release should help as well. It seems there are quite a few people eagerly waiting for it.

EDIT: so, in the Arpeggiated list, preset 2 plays for the following presets until i get to preset 12, which plays correctly. but moving back in the list, preset 12 plays until i get to... preset 2

Are you scrolling through presets in a regular speed? like one preset / second ?

About oscillator naming: It is what it is for now. I'll fix it later on.

Assigning MPE (cc 74) in Live 12.1 by dragging "MPE" onto a parameter seems to not be working properly. The animation shows the parameter knob turning as it should when using cc 74 on the MPE controller, but the audio is not affected at all. For example, when assigning "MPE" to ADSR sustain or to insert FX. Also, Live 12.1 frequently crashes right after dragging and dropping "MPE" onto a parameter. However, aftertouch (polyphonic MPE Press) seems to be working perfectly.

I tested drag-n-drop MPE or AFT onto a parameter with the VST3 version. No issue so far. My controller is Roli Seaboard. Everything is working as expected:

I am hoping to release an alpha release for 3.1 this week on dropbox. There's one remaining feature I'd like to complete: Being able to edit drum-part sequences on a single screen. and also MIDI import for them.

$9?? That’s the best deal I’ve seen in a long time for any synth plugin. Probably the best ever actually.

But I guess it can be a catch22.
The company needs the sale, but at that price it may give the perception/impression to some, that this isn't a real/serious synth with professional quality. (which is cleary an incorrect perception).

I just purchased the SM2 to SM3 upgrade. Just starting to dig in but how does one refresh the browser? I want to add a new custom folder "Teksonik SM3-1" for all new patches but I can't get that folder to show up and I don't see a Refresh option in any menu.

There are Preset locations in Users/Public/Public Documents/SM3/Presets, Documents/SM3/Presets, Program Files/KV331 Audio/SM3/Presets, and Documents/Synthmaster/ Presets which is where my old SM2 patches reside.

I tried adding folders to each location but they don't show up even after restarting the plugin and I also deleted an old folder from 2022 and it still shows up so I'm not sure what's going on. I'll keep digging around, there must be a refresh option somewhere I'm missing.

EDIT: Heads up, if you buy the upgrade from Plugin Boutique they give you an outdated download from back in January. I've downloaded the latest SM3 version so will install and try there.....

EDIT 2: Ok I tried the latest version available from my account "Revision 15611 Built on 24-11-2024 (???) and no luck I still can't get the new folder to show up. So how does one add new folders to the browser and where should they be located on the hard drive?

EDIT3: OK I've got it figured out. New folders will not show up in the browser until a preset is saved in them. Deleted folders will continue to show even after SM3 is deleted and reloaded into a project. You need to close out your DAW (or at least I had to with Waveform Pro 13) for any deleted folders to stop showing in the browser. A bit counterintuitive but workable.
