I have experienced pops with a couple of presets in Synthmaster 3 that never occurred in SM2 - One that seems to occur all the time for me is Nori Ubukata's STR Trilogy preset from his "Historical Synth Giants Vol 2" soundset pack for Synth 2. I had been using it with Synthmaster 2 in a project, and when I replace the Synth with SM3 in my DAW (Studio One V7 on W11) and load the same preset I get loud pops. I can control these with a limiter with a fast response but it says to me there is a difference in the way that SM3 treats these presets. Anyone else see something similar, or have these presets to be able to compare?

I installed latest update a minute ago: synthmaster3windowsupdatesetup_rev15612
I think I see one defect: When for instance in Patch "ARP Toxic Trance", I have Bitwig running, then I switch the ARP lenght from 3 to 4 but nothing happens. Only if I stop and start Bitwig again the new seq length is in effect. Same for switching back from 3 to 4.

And I have a question: I've tried to use the Arp output and feed into a different instrument. Even switching on "midi output" in the settings, I'm not able to grab the midi arp output. Probabaly I did sth wrong Help appreciated

System: Windows 11. Bitwig 5.3 Beta 1.

Let me look into this one.

I just checked and that preset does give me loud pops er whatever it is, like Brando mentioned. I use Cakewalk and Windows 10. It's much louder than the notes being played when it occurs.

Hi guys, I have a new update on dropbox: v3.0.8. This update brings another new feature: Filtering presets by "favourite" and "hidden" attributes. Hiding presets was a longtime feature request. Presets that belong to presets banks (factory / expansion), can not be deleted, so we needed a mechanism to hide them. Also, we changed the workflow to filter presets by "favourite" attributes:

For some reason, the latest .pkg file from dropbox won’t open (an error dialog pops up, and I don’t know how to attach a picture on this forum).
UPD2: Fixed this.

Please, please, please!!! Could you move "My Presets" and "Favorites" to the top of the bank list? Every time I run a new plugin instance, I have to scroll all the way down to see my presets. If it’s not possible to move these both, then at least move "My Presets"...

UPD: If moving these items is an issue, maybe you could add a "Default Bank" option accessible via right-click? That could work too. This way, I would always see my presets right away.

Just tried it on mac.. apart from the different font, from the star itself I can barely tell which are favourited and non favourited..
I think you need to make the difference between those way more differentiated.
also how does one get rid of t he My favourites folder at the bottom, which clearly would no longer be needed?

Hi Richard,

Good points. I will sort all of them out (More distinct colors for non favourite and favourite, visible and hidden). I will also remove My Favourites from the list of banks. You can not remove it manually. It's a bank added in code.

Hi, I am using Synthmaster v3.0.4 (macos). Sadly Synthmaster caused Renoise to crash, now somehow all favorites are gone. Maybe I am too dumb to fine those...? I remember that there was a bank called "Favourites", now its gone. Can you tell me where the favorites are saved on the drive? Maybe I can restore from a backup.... Thanks.

EDIT: Fixed by restarting Renoise. There is a bug in v3.0.4: If you start Renoise, then add SM3 VST3, and then load a song containing SM3, too, Renoise will crash (sandboxing needs to be disabled). I think this bug already was fixed once...
