Cmon... You need to expand on that...!

Is it because of the summing engines available? Because UAD plug ins?

I always thought it was a bit of an odd choice of where to spend development money, and kinda assumed they were going for the live musician/gig market
Not the main DAW market.
Yes, it's because of the summing engine expansions. At the moment you can choose between API Console Summing and Neve Console Summing engines. You can also load the API Console plugin on the mixer channels, and it displays itself like an actual mixing console would.

As for the live musician, I believe Ableton Live has pretty much established itself as the default program for that purpose, with additional input from Native Instruments Maschine etc. They basically did it long ago, before most of the big names and they did it very well, so.

Yes, the plugins. When you have the Luna Pro Bundle, everything gets loaded up automatically:

Studer A800
API Vision
API Summing
Ampex ATR-102
API 2500

If Luna had ARA and proper stereo-support I'd gladly pay twice the price of the Pro Bundle for it...

+1 ARA

What do you mean by proper stereo support?

It's going to happen eventually. ARA support and a proper piano roll are some of the most requested features.

Interesting use of Maschine. Akai MPC has a controller mode for surface controlling the MPC software. Cubase 14 is the #1 DAW for MIDI. It would be very nice to stream Cubase channels into Luna's Mixer in realtime.

Hmm.. quite tempted by this but I'm so fed up with the different bundles of plugins all over the place. Is there a way to sell individual plugins so that I don't have duplicates?

Unfortunately, it's not allowed.

That's good to know, even though personally I couldn't care possibly less about the piano-roll.
Proper stereo support?
Yes - putting stereo-fx on mono-sources - you know, wild crazy stuff such as putting a chorus on a guitar or a phaser on some bass-guitar or who knows, *gasp* maybe even inserting a reverb on a vocal-track or a rotary on an organ one - I know that's really way out there, but that's me - I always keep coming up with bizarre ideas like these.

Read my review at https://www.macworld.com/article/233814 ... eview.html. A lot of the info still applies, though it’s obviously improved from there. Pro Tools with excellent sounding plugins. But it’s absolutely a slippery slope type deal. Isn’t the basic version free? DL it and see if it’s for you.

You're right but $99 for the maxed out configuration is pretty great.

Try the coupon:

Should take 25 USD off the price.

Ah, got it. You're right, this needs to be fixed. The solution is to drag the audio to a stereo track after you've recorded but it shouldn't be necessary. Convert to Stereo only works when there are two separate tracks.

That is a very good price and the plugins are really, really good. But there are a lot of plugins in the store. Be strong! ;-)

Messing with the demo, love the look of it and feel. Yet to really try MIDI but I can see how it can be a PITA. Don't mind it so far and kind of interesting. Like how you can move around the loop at will and things feel really good. Kind of want to make tracks in it but most likely will mix and master in it because it is very nice...
