It's not a synth but I guess this is same kind of synthesis...

Some others:starflakeprj wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 7:19 amI guess Phase Plant with its modal filter, with which you can achieve similar sounds, is the closest, as far as I know. But I'm not going that deep in most cases. Maybe Kaivo from Madrona Labs is even closer in terms of granular + physical modeling. Plasmonic otherwise?Touch The Universe wrote: Tue Jan 28, 2025 11:47 pm Very interesting new synth module. I can't wait to check it out. Looks like a very Nifty physical modeling unit paired with granular features that are unique as far as I'm aware![]()

Are the exploration bundles, especially vol. 3 which - I guess - uses P6 features, worth the 20€ offer?

I think the majority of criticism of MassiveX is more criticism of NI for their lack of development of it.Milkman wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 12:20 am
Pigments(6) sound signature is glorious, it is varied, and I have no idea why people need to follow their strange impulses to say (in this thread) that MassiveX is better. Ive been listening to people bashing on MassiveX on KVR for *years*, but whenever something else comes along that needs bashing, MassiveX sounds better? lmao okey dokey chokey.
In terms of development Arturia have been exemplary with Pigments. Multiple free updates with significant improvements. What's not to love about that?
In terms of sound MassiveX is in the absolute top tier of soft synths. I haven't read anyone criticising the sound of Massive X personally.

I like that V6 update. That modal osc can actually sound beautiful. But some critics again:
- Why not provide three osc slots, instead two? Or make it flexible, 1-8 !!
- An optional third filter, post filter 1/2, which still is per-voice, would be helpful, e.g. for coloration, or if you use each filter for each osc in serial. So why not make the filter section also flexible, 1-4 !!!
- An additional OSC mixing tab, where you can mix and route the oscs in a nice overview, also also provides a separate ringmod 1x2, ringmod 1x3, etc. mix controls (plus lp/hp). So ringmod / crossmod is separated from the osc settings (since it really is a post-step), freeing up GUI space then for additional controls and features inside the old OSCs.
- Cross-osc-ringmod also for new modal osc.
You know that I am right here.

There's 20 or so presets from each that are playable in the in-app store.mabian wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 8:27 amI was looking for opinions from who got them already, thankskinkajou wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 8:15 amYou can have a listen to the NEW soundbanks here: Preset Storemabian wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 8:08 am Are the exploration bundles, especially vol. 3 which - I guess - uses P6 features, worth the 20€ offer?

Absolutely hate the new store for presets. It no longer says what you own and there's no filter by instrument. (i.e. Pigments)
I've never searched by genre. And the last few sales, I'm mostly just interested in the Pigments/Augments only banks.

How are you accessing the Store? I'm asking because I can filter by genre, I can search by instrument, and all the banks displayed, if owned, have a warning "v" sign on them.BBFG# wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 9:27 am Absolutely hate the new store for presets. If I access the Store, and in the Search field I write Pigments, only the banks that have Pigments sounds will be displayed. I think the Store is very well organized, actually.

No? It's got Filter Table, but that's something different. Afaik.starflakeprj wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 7:35 amDoesn't it? I thought so, I haven't spun it up for a while, so now you're making me insecure.

Where do you see these options in the Presets/Soundbank-Store?fmr wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 10:39 amHow are you accessing the Store? I see a "Filters" and a sorting tab ("Newest"...). No search field and nothing that reminds me of owned presets or soundbanks.
Or is there another way to access these presets/soundbanks?

I access the Store through Analog Lab. IMO it's the best option, since you, even, download samples of each bank you may be interested, and listen to them immediately.kinkajou wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 10:49 amWhere do you see these options in the Presets/Soundbank-Store?fmr wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 10:39 amHow are you accessing the Store? If you click the Library button in Analog Lab, you will have an option on the left: Store. Click it and it will open the Store.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
