It's an emotional plugin for sure
Btw, does this mean we can't have 1.0 and 2.0 installed together?
I suppose not, but I haven't been able to test yet.

Please excuse my curiosity:tasmaniandevil wrote: Tue Feb 04, 2025 6:26 amVersion 2 will replace version 1 and is backwards compatible, so there is no need to have both installed in parallel.lunardigs wrote: Mon Feb 03, 2025 9:59 pm Btw, does this mean we can't have 1.0 and 2.0 installed together?
Does this “backward compatibility” mean that the DSP of both versions are exactly the same?
In other words:
Has the code responsible for the sound quality of Uhbik 2.0 improved/changed? Or is the DSP code exactly the same as Uhbik 1.0?
I ask because I though that Uhbik 2.0's code (including its DSP) was going to be written from the ground up. Maybe I was wrong?

It is not rewritten from the ground up.limitlesssss wrote: Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:41 amI ask because I though that Uhbik 2.0's code (including its DSP) was going to be written from the ground up. Maybe I was wrong?
However, ancient academia-style DSP building blocks for numerous filters have been replaced by modern counterparts based on analogue modelling. This doesn't change the sound fundamentally, but it does improve a few characteristics, e.g. less DC build-up.

Can't wait to make Uhbik-D my default delay plug-in. I hope Uhbik 2.0 is inching closer and closer to completion.

Can we have better contrast for the text please. I'm finding several of your plugins hard to read. Thanks.

A mini update: Uhbik 2.0 now has reached the stage where I'm coming back in to do some final stuff. With Zebralette 3 Beta 2 out the door, and Uhbik on the finish line, I've gathered my left over tickets to fix some things, upgrade the envelope follower into something workable, improve the modulation system, revisit a new filter model for Runciter and do some cleaning up.
The possibility of going beta is definitely coming closer.

Lead devs left twice
Not ideal, but can happen with smaller teams.
