I'm sure there could be more types, but quickly... I think it could be these:

Digital Reverb: Including sounds of Lexicon
Mechanical/physical: Plates, Springs
Structural: Rooms, Halls, Chambers
Environmental: Anything outdoors.
Creative: Nontraditional (not clones of digital hardware presets)

In more serious news -- I wonder if this is being given as a free gift because they're going to discontinue it shortly? I don't think it's been updated in over a year...

There could also be V2 around the corner.

It is already a current problem it seems -- I can reproduce a crash in Cubase 14 with Backbone by control clicking in the Filter panel after enabling resynthesis.

So a FREE program is a problem because one user has a crash.I've done lookups last few days on Backbone havent seen mention of this crash. I think I'll go ahead and try the FREE program since as a Cubase user its a Steinberg product and its FREE.

Its truly stunning how far some folks will go in this forum to deride a great deal. Its like a demented passion to squash any excitement that actual music makers could get. WOW!

FYI there were several others, including Steinberg staff, have been able to recreate this crash. So, it wasn't just me. They have stated, 'Its now in our Defect-Tracking-System and listed as Bug-ID “BCK-1536”. I hope we can provide a fix for it soon.'

What is really odd is how such a surface bug went unnoticed for so long; Simple right click, left click is an early test pattern. But anyways it's documented !

Anyone know of a discount coupon or way to get Ableton Live 12 Suite upgrade cheaper than $229 from Ableton? Ableton has a coupon link on their purchase page but I can't seem to find one that is valid around. JRRSHOP has Ableton live 11 suite upgrade but not Live 12 so don't think I can purchase from there. I missed the Ableton holiday sale which is a bummer.
