Because it takes dev effort away from features that we do need like the recently introduced bounce in place (thank god). Not dissing your request, just that I’ve seen the implementation on reaper and it’s a mess.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Mon Apr 21, 2025 12:19 amWhy would you hope that a feature was not implemented that you would never have to use if you don’t want to? It wouldn’t affect you. Bitwig has this and it’s one of its biggest advantages over Live. Bouncing to the same track but being able to go back to original midi in that track in different clips is really fantastic and makes for MUCH cleaner sets.keyman_sam wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 12:46 amOh god I hope not. Reaper has this functionality and it’s a mess. Let’s keep midi and audio separate for the sake of sanity.bundoo wrote: Fri Mar 21, 2025 7:00 pm wonder if theyll ever have midi and audio able to be on same track
bounce in place would be better off
It’s one of those things that sound great on paper but is a nightmare to work with. If it’s just midi and audio on an instrument track I’d be fine. As long as we don’t inherit the reaper bloat.
