say, i got 10m of "music', several tracks
i chop m up into more reasonable chuncks (s for splice)
i drag those 'individual' pieces over to the live matrix
why are these than copied over entirely ?

Pls explain more visually.
in the timeline i got a few audiostreams split
when i drag or copy those into the live mixer, the stream in the matrix is -again- the full length audio stream, not the part i had chopped/split & copied into the matrix - or at least the part from where i chopped it until the rest of the (original) stream

maybe this makes more sense:
i dragged a few of those 'short' snippets into the live matrix but then they are not shorts any more, but the whole shebang!
-also notice i've got 2 markers numbered 2 ;(

Yes i see what you mean now, thx to the extra details.
Will be fixed in the next update.
About the double marker: I assume you copied them?
You can always rename a marker via right-click.

thx a lot!
i didn't copied them but i created a marker on the 1 after i created marker 2 (pos 17:0:0) - so that was originally marker 1 but i wanted to rename it so i did (marker 1 -> marker 2) but then marker 2 (on the 1:0:0) kept its name
if duplicate name/number maybe introduce a little routine that will establish a rename routine ?
-for those that like their markers consecutively ascending/descending

I'll leave naming of the markers to the user.tiger001 wrote: Sun Jun 08, 2025 9:38 am if duplicate name/number maybe introduce a little routine that will establish a rename routine ?

Just adding this info tip:
Note that even after you've dropped a clip on the live matrix you can change that live clip's start time and length. So even within a single scene you can have clips that start at a different time, making it possible to create live scenes with an intro / build up.
